He Gives Us Inner Strength & Companionship
‘I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit’ Eph. 3:16
The Holy Spirit performs His ministry as the comforter by strengthening us from the inside and being our companion. As Christians we experience seasons in our lives that should ordinarily be low points but you cannot explain where the strength to pull through comes from. You may have perceived the burden too much for you to bear. But if you look back six months, you would realize that you have not survived in your strength all along. It is called the strength of the Highest. ‘I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit’ Ephesians 3:16. God strengthens us even when we think we have no strength. Or when we think that the storms will drown us.
The greatest asset of the believer is the person of the Holy Spirit. You need to begin to walk in that reality. The Holy Spirit is not someone you just remember when you go to Church. Your greatest asset is the companionship of the Holy Spirit. Walk daily in the consciousness of the presence of the Holy Spirit. It is called fellowship with the Holy Spirit. One thing you realize as your walk with God intensifies is that the Holy Spirit is a singing spirit. He loves songs and He loves to sing. The quickest way to cultivate the presence of the Holy Spirit is to sing to Him. Watch every one that has a tangible relationship with the Holy Spirit, they love to sing. It does not matter whether their voice is good or not. Cultivate the habit of talking to Him and expect His response. Learn how to ask Him about who the people in your life are. If man leaves you and God doesn’t leave you, there is hope for you but if man stays with you and God leaves you, then you are in trouble regardless of who the man is. God wants to have fellowship with you. The companionship of the Holy Spirit is priceless to the believer. Fellowship means interacting, exchanging values and information. Talk to the Holy Spirit and make Him priority. The Holy Spirit will take you into a dimension you have never experienced before with God.
Prayer: ‘May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the [sweet] fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with [me always]’ [2 Cor.13:14], in Jesus Name.
