A New Thing

‘I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea’ Isa. 43:16

The beauty of having a new day, a new hour, a new month, or a new year is because of who God is. God is a God of new beginnings. ‘I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wastelandIsa.43:16, 18& 19. God is saying forget all He has done in the past because He is about to do something great. The God we serve is an awesome God and He is set to make a way in the wilderness for each and every one of us. When you examine the above scripture, you will discover that God is saying that He is about to do something. Yet He is asking you if you can see it. How does He expect us to see something that He will yet do? It’s just like saying to your child; I will buy you a toy and then asking the child if he can see the toy. God is definitely not talking about seeing through our physical eyes. God is talking about seeing the things that are about to happen before they happen. God is talking about envisioning, looking at things through the eyes of the mind, the eye of your heart, the eye of your inner man. God is talking about believing before seeing. While the world says seeing is believing; God is says believing is seeing. I believe that God is going to give us a vision for our lives as we cross over into the New Year. A vision that will change our lives totally. He will load us with ideas, visions, with what is possible, and what can happen. Get ready for it, expect it, and receive it. This is how God works. Therefore what you see determines how your respond. What you see in the mirror determines what you will wear. What you see affects what you do. God expects you to see what He is doing before He does it.

Prayer [Song]: ‘Open the eyes of my heart Lord. open the eyes of my hear. I want to see You. To see You high and lifted up. Shining in the light of Your glory. Pour out Your power and love as we sing Holy, Holy, Holy. You are Holy, Holy, Holy. I want to see You’
