His Praise
Ps.104:31 “May the glory of the Lord continue forever! The Lord takes pleasure in all he has made!”
What price are you willing to pay so that you can live like few will? One of my colleagues said, ‘Your neck is growing thinner and thinner, what is going on?’ I said, ‘We are fasting’ and the look on her face was, is it not the same fast all of us are doing? The key thing is, the price you are willing to embrace, the sacrifice you are willing to embrace is what will separate you from the pack. God is taking you on an uncommon path because of the uncommon dream that He has for you. You have to embrace your path; you have to embrace your own story. It is not according to the books, but it is your story, and it is for God’s glory.
God’s dream for you is a good dream and it is a journey of uncommon paths. And on this journey, we encounter things like the prison and other things that we perceive as torment. But could it be that God wants to use the things that torment us to mentor us? Could it be that God wants to use the prison to purify us? Could it be that the things that give us sleepless nights, the things we are praying away, God actually wants to use them to promote us? It is A-level stuff. The truth is that sometimes the tormentors in our lives are what God uses to mentor us. But that is the path to the greatness that God has for you, and you need to embrace it.
Thirdly, the dream that God has for you is A Table For You Before Your Enemies. God will use you to pepper them. Did you know that pepper them was in the Bible? Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honour me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.” What God has for you is not just an ordinary table, it is a feast. God is saying, this dream that He has for you is a good dream that will take you on the journey of uncommon paths and it is actually a dream to put a feast for you before your enemies. So, the prayer that all your enemies should fall down and die, God is saying He is not going to answer it. But you think it is unfair; let them die so that I can have peace.
God says, they are not going to die. He is going to keep them alive so that they will see when He beautifies you, so that He can ‘pepper them‘. Isn’t that more beautiful? If you kill all of them, then God sets a table, a fest before you and nobody is there to see it. That would not be sweet, so He will not kill them. But when He is done with you, they will be reduced to stutters and stammers because of how glorious you will be. And by so doing, He will ‘pepper them‘. It is a good dream that will take you on a journey of uncommon paths and the purpose is to set a table for you before your enemies while He ‘peppers them‘. However, do not forget that it is all for God’s glory.
Prayer (song): …Who can grasp Your infinite wisdom? Who can fathom the depth of Your love? You are beautiful beyond description Majesty, enthroned above. I stand, I stand in awe of You… Amen!
