Shine Bright
Exodus 20:6 “But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.”
So far, we have looked at three out of the four things you need to pay attention to as your light begins to shine. The first is It Is Not About You. Your light shining is not about you. Matt. 5:14: “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” The second thing is No More Obscurity. You are coming out of obscurity. Why? Matthew 5:15 “No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.” The third thing is to Expect To Do Amazing Things Without Difficulty. Where others are struggling, you will do things with great ease. However, be careful not to become arrogant because arrogance makes you a target. But glory makes you a magnet.
Your light is going to shine, and your shine is going to be intense. The fourth thing is you have to Think Generationally. Psalm 78:4 “We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders.” You have to think generationally. What is the next generation going to meet on-ground? What are you going to hand over to the next generation, the generation after that, and the generations beyond? As a patriarch or a matriarch, you should think of at least four generations. This shine should not end when you are gone. It has to be multiplied in your children.
I declare in the Name of Jesus that your shine will not end with you, it will be multiplied to your children and their children and their children. Your shine is going to be multiplied in all your seed — all your biological children and all your spiritual children, and the brightness will take over the whole world in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Isaiah 60:1&3 “Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you… All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see your radiance.” Genesis 17:7 “I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you.” God is a God of generations, and we see this pattern all over scripture. God says I Am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Are you wondering how all this is possible — how your star can be unquenchable, how to have a destiny that cannot be tampered with, how you can come out of obscurity, how to do amazing things without difficulty? Do you want God to take your star to a place where it cannot be tampered with? You need to give your life to Jesus; that is the safest place because he that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Surrender your life to God; God is the only one that can restore your glory. Cry out to Him.
Prayer: Father, hide my star in the secrecy of Your presence where it cannot be tampered with, in Jesus Name. Amen!
