Unique

Psalm 139:¹⁴ “I will offer You my grateful heart, for I am Your unique creation, filled with wonder and awe. You have approached even the smallest details with excellence; Your works are wonderful; I carry this knowledge deep within my soul” (Voice)

The truth is that most of us start off in life being original. But somewhere along the line, many people lose it. However, some of us are rebels, we do not want to be like anybody. From my childhood, I did not want to be like no body. I just wanted to be me. But not everybody is like that. A lot of people have had to deal with burden of being copies. But think about it, if God made you to be you and you are not going to be you, then God had better just take you to heaven because you are not very useful on earth. We do not need another Michael Jackson. We do not need another whoever you are copying. We need you to be you. So, do not fake it.

The truth is you do not have to be perfect for God to use you. Isn’t that beautiful. You do not have to be perfect for God to use you. Most people think they must be perfect. They must read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. They must do this, and they have to do that to be perfect for God to use them. No, you do not have to be perfect for God to use you. But you must be authentic. You must be original. That is the only requirement. Can you be you? Can you look at yourself in the mirror and be okay with you because God loves you and you do not doubt His love.

I have my flaws. But guess what? God loves me regardless and He gave me a name to assure me that He loves me. I have my flaws, but God uses me regardless. God blesses me because by the grace of God I am authentic. I am not trying to be anybody. I am not trying to dance like Michael Jackson, I have got my own dance. You do not have to like it and that does not bother me. I have my own dance and I am dancing to my Jesus. Being original sets me totally free. God wants you to be free. We need you to show up and be you. Do not fake it.

A lot of people often project their strengths. But I am not claiming to be perfect. Anybody that claims to be perfect is a big fat lair. If God were waiting to use the perfect person, nothing will get done on earth. Yes, we are inspired by people’s strengths. We can be inspired to do great things by people’s strengths. But guess what? We can only grow through people’s weaknesses. We can only grow by seeing how people who have failed are now succeeding. Some people who knew me before I got saved, see me now and say, if God can use Femi Monehin, God can use me. God can use you. You do not have to be perfect. Say it out loud, ‘If God loves me and I like me, and you do not like me, that is your problem’. How can that be my or your problem?
