Isaiah 35:4 “Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” (emphasis added).
Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (KJV, emphasis added). Sõzõ! Whosoever means whosoever. What an assurance. I want to tell you a story, it is a popular story, and you probably have heard it before. But every time I think about the story it always blesses me. The story also challenges me to look at myself and see how I might be short-changing myself. It is a story of a man who saved all his money just because he wanted to go on a boat cruise. If you have been on a boat cruise, you can attest that it is a beautiful experience. Everything is on deck. The man paid the full amount that was required for the cruise. And when he was going, he also bought himself a pack of crackers.
He went on board with his crackers which he will eat in his cabin, drink water, and then step out to look at the beautiful water. He will see all the people watching movies, but he will not enter the viewing centre. He will see the endless supply of food onboard, but he will just admire it and move on. If you have been on a cruise, you know there are food and drinks all twenty-four hours of each day. Everyone on the cruise was having the time of their lives. When he is hungry, he will go back to his cabin, eat his crackers and then step out again to feed his eyes. And he did that for the entire duration of the cruise.
In the end when they were disembarking, the captain was at his usual point greeting people as they got off the ship. And the captain walked up to this man and said, “Hello Sir, I saw you on this cruise, but you did not participate in any of the activities. You also did not eat or drink anything. You did not watch any movies or play any games. Why?” And the man responded, “Well Captain, I saved up all my money just to buy the ticket for the cruise. I could not afford anything else, so I brought some crackers along to eat in my cabin. I just came to enjoy the view and the ocean breeze.” And the captain who by now was perplexed, managed to put words together and said to the man, “Sir, when you bought the ticket, it came with the food, the drinks, and with all the entertainment onboard!”
“When you bought the ticket with your life savings you could have eaten all you wanted and had all the fun you wanted on that same ticket. There was no one on this ship that had a better ticket than you. Everybody had the same ticket.” There is no Christian that has a better blood than you, everybody was bought with the blood of the Lamb. Sõzõ, it is in the salvation ticket.
Prayer: Father, I will experience the fullness of Your Salvation, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
