Bring Forth

1 Kings 18:43-44 “…Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him… ‘If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’”

Why should I pray in tongues? The first reason is Praying In Tongues Brings Forth The Revelation Of God’s Plan For Your Life. For instance, someone calls me about a challenge they are having at home. I check with God, I feel a burden, and I step into the place of prayer. And I pray in other tongues and boom. I know I am there in the spirit. So, I get up and go to their house. Or I call them on the phone. Or I invite them to my office for a meeting. And as I open my mouth and begin to talk, I am saying things that I have downloaded. By God’s grace now I know the way of The Holy Spirit. But at the initial stage, while I am speaking, I would be catching myself, ‘Did I just say that?’ It comes by praying in The Holy Ghost.

I hope that all this is whetting your appetite. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” (KJV). Eyes have not seen what God has prepared for you. Ears have not heard what God has prepared for you. It has not even entered into the hearts of men what God has prepared for you. Who searches the deep things of God? The Holy Spirit. You will be limitless in the Name of Jesus. So, those things that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, and have not even begun to enter into the hearts of men.

The Bible says God has revealed those things to us through The Holy Spirit because He searches everything, even the depth of God. And how do you get your own portion? You sit down with The Holy Ghost, and you pray in tongues until it begins to unpack. That is how to access the deep things of God. So, how long should I stay in the place of prayer? I don’t know. People who walk with God do not ask how long, because they know that God does not work with time. God is Eternal. If you want to have a sustained, beautiful, bountiful, and fruitful walk with God, you should not ask how long. Instead, be determined to give it whatever it takes.

Sometimes, I am praying for one hour before I even begin to get there. Sometimes, it is thirty minutes. Guess what? Sometimes, it happens in less than five minutes—three minutes and I am there. But for the three minutes to be consistent, in my experience, I must sustain my prayer walk. In my own case, where I am praying for a long time, let’s just put it that way. So when I get to that place and I begin to engage. Boom.

Prayer: Father, give me the grace to pray through, to tarry long with God, in Jesus Name. Amen!
