Transferable Treasure

Why would Matthew do this? Matthew knew that he had the hope of eternal life and that he would go to heaven one day. Matthew knew that the only things you can take to heaven with you are the people you have affected for God. Your car cannot go, your house cannot go, your shirt cannot go, and the jewelries cannot go. If anyone tries to take jewelries or their family members attempt to bury them with all their gold, at night that grave will be burgled. The only things you can take to heaven are the souls of the people you have impacted for God. That’s what will make the stars on your crown. Sadly, because of that blackberry, you sold your birth right. That blackberry will not make it to heaven. The only things that will make it are the souls; no earthly commodity is going to make it, only souls. Therefore, my quest while I am here is to seek people and bring them to Jesus. Someone said heaven and hell are not real. His reason was if heaven was real, his friends that are Christians would not just go to church, come back and play scrabble with him. They will compel him with everything available to accept Jesus. But they don’t even care whether he goes to hell or not. Therefore, hell and heaven cannot be real. I felt a little bit like this when I just gave my life to Jesus while I was in the university. I had a friend in class who I never knew was a believer. All I knew was that whenever you insult him, he will not insult you back. But one day I gave my life to Jesus towards my final year and I went to a fellowship meeting and he was standing at the door as an usher. I was upset with him because we had spent Year 1, 2, and 3 together and he didn’t even tell me about Jesus? How could he have done that? Some people will say they are praying for you. Yes, pray but then what? I am praying that there will not be people on their way to hell just standing at heaven’s gate waiting to accuse you before God for not talking to them about Jesus. I am praying you will not get that accusation in the mighty name of Jesus. While you are on this side of eternity, make it about the big fish and not the little fish. Invest your one and only life fishing for men.
