‘And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven’ Matt.16:19 [KJV].

Regardless of their size, their weight, or their hierarchy all the powers of hell will not conquer the church. Why, because Jesus says, “all the powers of hell will not conquer it’”. Simply put, the reason why you and I can expect to be victorious despite the resistance from the enemy is because Jesus says so!

Understanding is crucial in engaging the supernatural. I pray that Matthew 16:19 will become as real to you as God intends for it to be. This is very simple and if you get it, your life will change forever. God is saying “I, God will give you, Peter the keys of the Kingdom because this world has situations that are waiting for your instruction. Peter, whatever you allow on earth shall be allowed in heaven. Peter, whatever you forbid on earth shall be forbidden in heaven”. It all starts with Peter getting the keys right? The keys are what Jesus came to deliver to us on the cross of Calvary with His life – shedding His blood. Many of us are saved, we have the keys and we are faced with tough situations. But we are saying “God forbid this thing to happen” and God is saying “You forbid it to happen! Once you forbid it, it will be forbidden in heaven”. There are things you want to happen and you are saying, “God, I need You to allow this thing to happen”. Yet God is saying “No, you allow it to happen! Once you allow it to happen, it will be allowed in heaven”. For your dream to happen you have to allow it. So for the destiny God has for you, you are not just sitting as a puppet waiting for heaven to release stuff. Heaven has released the keys; you go and make it happen, this is what God is saying. Go and knock on that door, if it doesn’t open then break it down! If you notice a negative pattern of things going on, you stop it! If it doesn’t stop, shoot it down! That’s why if you don’t understand the nature of the church, you will miss it totally. I was reading an article, the writer is a believer, and she said that a lot of things that Christians are doing are not scriptural. And I laughed because the writer is just a child. Many things that have not happened are because God is waiting for you and I to make them happen.

Thought: You have to be watchful about the things you forbid and permit.

Prayer: Father, I receive the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. And I declare that whatever I forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever I permit on earth will be permitted in heaven, and so shall it be, in Jesus Name.
