Trust And Obey

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine’ Isa.55:8

God will ask you sometimes to behave as though you already have what you are requesting of Him. It is foolishness but faith is obeying God even though I don’t understand it. Faith is giving even when I don’t have it. God says give this mount, and you say, “Lord, I don’t even have it”. Faith is giving what you don’t have. Faith is persisting when I don’t feel like it. How can a leper go to the priest? But as they obeyed Jesus, as they moved, the Bible says they were healed. I tell people that they don’t have a money problem. People have an obedience problem. If you think you don’t have money, it is an obedience problem. On your way to obeying God, God would always meet you. But He will not meet you before you obey. A lot of people say. “God do this then I will do this”. God says, “No, do this as though I have done it”. “Write the cheque as though I have done it”. “Make the move as though I have done it”. “Buy the baby things as though I have done it”. It doesn’t make sense. Jesus is used to doing these kinds of things. It sounds like I am reporting Him to you right? I actually am not, rather it is important that you know that God ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. That is why in Cana of galilee Jesus’ mother put pressure on Him to provide more wine. What did Jesus say? Go and fill the jars with water, then take the water to the chairman to taste. The servants put water in the jar, they knew it was water, and they took it to the chairman. Does that make sense? But as they were going the water changed to wine. Just move in obedience to God. Don’t sit there and say “Lord change it to wine then I will take it”.  As you move, that water will become wine. He does it time and time again. So what is that thing that you are asking God for today? The Bible says ‘let the weak say I am strong’. Does that make sense? ‘Let the poor say I am rich’. That doesn’t make sense either. On the other hand, what is the thing that Jesus has told you to do? Instead of you to just say, “Yes Sir” and going to do it, you are saying “Yes Sir, but turn this water to wine first then I will go and do it”. The miracle happens when you take the steps in obedience.

Prayer [hymn]: When we walk with the Lord. In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way; While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey. Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way… Amen!
