More and More

Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others’ 1Tim.6:18.

I will intentionally give more and more and more. When you come to see me in the office, I am usually dressed simply, T-Shirt and jeans. When God blesses me with lets say three hundred and fifty million dollars [say Amen], you will still see me dressed in my jeans and T-shirt at the office. I am not going to now begin to wear Armani suits to the office. I deliberately will try to maintain my level of living so that I can have leverage. So that I am able to invest more and give more.

I am sure you know or at least have heard about Rick Warren, the author of The Purpose Driven Life. The book The Purpose Driven Life according to the United States press, apart from the Bible the Purpose Driven Life is the second highest selling book. In one year it made thirty four million dollars. ABC News as at 7th March 2007 reported that The Purpose-Driven Life sold 30 million copies”. Rick Warren said the first thing they [him and his wife] decided was that they were not going to increase their standard of living. So they continued living in the same house they were living before God brought the promotion. They still drive the car that they used to drive. I was challenged to my core. He’s been pastoring for thirty years, he paid back all the salary that the church had paid him for those thirty years and gave the rest away. Amazing! And guess what, the following year do you know how many millions of dollars he made from that same book because God will bless such a person more and more. For some people that is when they will build that mansion they had been dreaming about. Well what can I say, build the mansion and God will still bless you with more. But please don’t build another one for yourself except for investment because how many houses can a man live in? Be content so that you can have more than enough to give and give. Some will say when God blesses me, I’m going to buy a new car. Please buy the new car. Then God will bless you with more [Say amen]. What I am saying is when He does bless you with more what do you do? Don’t change your car again, you just bought a new one. Be content. Intentionally give more and more and more.

Prayer: Father, please teach my hands to intentionally give more and more and more, in Jesus Name
