What Are You Doing?

‘The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none’ Deut.28:12 [NIV].

The fourth thing you have to reinforce or learn is God will bless the works of your hands. In other words, it is only the works of your hands that God will bless. God will not bless the dreams of your mind that have not translated into work. Some people are super dreamers, always dreaming. It is good to have a very big vision; it is better to just start something. You know why? It is because God will only bless the works of your hands. ‘The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none’ Deut.28:12 [NIV]. It is the work of your hands that God will bless. What are you doing? What are you bringing before God to bless? It is only the works of your hands that God will bless.

A major challenge for many is laziness and it must be dealt with [Prov.24:30-34]. You have no business sleeping an extra hour if God has put something in your hands to do and it is undone. Why are you sleeping? I am not saying you should not rest, don’t get me wrong, you have to rest otherwise you won’t be productive. For me, because of how active I am people always ask me if I get to sleep at all. The truth is I sleep when people least expect. The problem is not sleeping; the problem is sleeping too much. Yes you have a nine to five job but God has also given you an idea to work on. Agreed your job takes your time but your laziness will also not allow you to work on the idea. Don’t you know that job has an expiration date? The reason God has given you that idea is so that when that job expires you will enter into your wealthy place. But like the fields of a lazy man, you have allowed yours to become over grown with thistles. Stop playing with poverty; it is not your lot. There are people who only work for three hours in the entire day and they are making a lot of money. Sadly, such people just work for those three hours and lay back. Imagine what will happen and how much more you would make if you worked more. The money is really not about you. It is about what God wants to do with you. So if you are working just to sustain yourself, you really have not understood the picture of what God wants to do.

Prayer: Father, please help me deal with every seed of laziness in my life, in Jesus Name.
