Implication I

“Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf” Heb.7:25.

First Implication: Jesus is my Saviour means my eternity is secure. When I die or when rapture comes, I know where I am going. I was reading on the Internet a while back, about how Google was investing heavily into a biotech company whose main objective is to eradicate death and reverse ageing. I read it and I smiled because when did death become a problem? My eternity is secured; I have eternal life. In the words of Paul, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Who doesn’t want to gain? It is exciting to see how men push boundaries because that is what has led to a lot of the breakthroughs that we have had in the technology of today. But the truth is that there are boundaries that will not be pushed. It is appointed for man to die once and after that judgment. You cannot overcome death! So rather than waste money, invest it into taking the world for Jesus.

Second Implication: Jesus is my Savior means God will not withhold anything good from me. That is comforting. If Jesus is my Savior, God will not withhold anything good from me. “Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?Rom.8:32. Look at Jesus; Jesus was sacrificed for you and I. If God can give us Jesus, then what can He not give us? Now if God can give you Jesus, is it a house that He cannot give you? Think about it. If God can give you Jesus, is a car too big for Him to give you? Is it healing? Is it a life partner? What can’t Jesus give you? If God can give you Jesus, what is it that is more expensive than Jesus? It is like having a child, sending the child to the best school costs you everything you have. You are investing so much in the child. Then the child comes and asks you for chocolate. You can afford the chocolate but you know it is not good for his teeth, so you turn down the request until he knows how to brush his teeth and take care of his gums. Then he goes away saying my parents hate me. Have you heard that before? His parents will just look at him and laugh because he has no idea what he is talking about. This example is very similar to how we are with God sometimes. If He can give us Jesus, what can He not give us? So if He is saying wait for that house, then wait. It means there is nothing He will withhold from me that is good. He will not withhold healing, he will not withhold deliverance, he will not withhold freedom, he will not withhold restoration, there’s nothing he will withhold.

Prayer: Thank You Jesus for saving me and for the promise that nothing good will be withheld from me, in Jesus Name.
