Great God!

“God, why are people so important to you? Why do you even notice them?” Job 7:17 [ERV].

He made the things that we can see and the things we cannot see [Read Col.1:16]. So there are things we can see and things we cannot see. Speaking about the things we can see either with our physical eyes or with the help of technology. For instance, man has created all sorts of telescopes and we are now able to see all sorts of amazing things. Take the mountains for instance; there was a time I went to a physical mountain to pray. I cannot remember how long I was there but that experience made me marvel at God even more. The Bible says He laid the foundations of these mountains. God is awesome! Seventy one percent of the earth and counting is covered by water and guess what? Even with all the breakthroughs in technology, scientists have only explored five percent of the ocean.

Thank God for technology and the things we can now see with the aid of telescopes. Some of us do not have access to telescopes but again thank God for technology, the Internet, and those who have made their findings available to all of us. I implore you to go on the Internet and do some research, so you can have a mental image of what I am about to share with you. Ours is the solar system and it consists of the sun and all the planets revolving around it. Can you see how big the sun is? The sun is a 150, 000, 000 kilometers from the earth. Can you see the earth? If you were to see a graphic representation of the Milky Way, our galaxy, it is almost impossible to point out the sun not to talk about the earth. Am I trying to make you feel small? No, I am trying to show you that you are really small. So where does pride come from? See how huge our God is? It is amazing when we think that our problems are bigger than He is. Can you now appreciate the power in His Word more? People say they don’t believe in the big bang theory but they believe in creation. I say I believe both because in the beginning, when the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light: what do you think happened? There was a big bang and there was light. Knowing these things deepens your sense of value.
