Wholly Secure

“Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.” James 2:18

Faith is so important that if you are to fulfill your destiny in God it is going to be by faith. Everything that God has for you, your spouse, your children, and your future; if they are going to come to pass it is going to be by faith. There is so much attack on people’s faith. These attacks started long ago and are still on even till now. If there is anything the enemy wants it is your faith.
Jesus while talking to Peter when He was about to go said, satan has asked to sift you but I have prayed that your faith will not fail. I am praying that your faith will not fail in Jesus Name. In the place of faith, the enemy tries to give us a lot of things to substitute for faith. The enemy has people heading in many different directions and doing a lot of things instead of believing God. Well there are some things you need to do but you need to believe God also. Yes you need to believe God! The rate at which the mental health of the world is deteriorating is alarming. And it is because people do not have faith anymore. The depression is sky high, the suicide rate is sky high, and people are just in gloom. Why? No faith! I read an article some time ago that stated that the increase in rate of anti-depressant use between 1988 and 2008 is 400 percent. 400 hundred percent that is in direct proportion of people turning away from God. People are in fear, people are afraid, people are depressed, people are doubting, people are in gloom, why because there is no faith. Is everybody’s life perfect? No. Do I have my challenges? Yes, as long as you are on this earth everybody will have his or her own fair share of challenges. But I know my Redeemer lives and I know I will laugh last. How do I know? I can see the victory already that is the difference. God wants your face to be hinged on Christ and be totally immovable. “By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight” Heb.11:33-34. These are people that when they left they did not have any money in their pockets but they subdued kingdoms. I am praying that you will rule with justice and you will receive all that God has promised you. They triumphed by faith; faith always produces results. How can you say you have faith and there is no result [no works]? Show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith by my works [James 2:18], because faith without works is dead.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, please grow my faith in God and God alone, in Jesus Name.
