Child Of God!
“And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God” Lu.13:13 [emphasis added]
Today, for the purpose of emphasis, we will start by repeating our final thought from yesterday. “We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and…?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God” Maryanne Williamson. Never apologize for standing tall. Some people are consistently wrestling with the question, who am I to be talented, to be anointed, to be beautiful, to be successful, to be wealthy…? Actually, who are you not to be, that is the question? You are a child of God! God has just blessed you, so just Stand Tall.
The thought that other people will be jealous actually scares some people who have been anointed by God. Why should you be scared? You are a child of God; just Stand Tall. I have said it before and I am going to say it again – never, ever, ever apologize for standing tall. Never ever do it. Stop, put down your devotional, and say it aloud to yourself – never ever, ever, ever apologize for Standing Tall. And let that sink into your being. Again, I am not talking about arrogance; I am talking about being who God has called you to be. Do not apologize for being who God has called you to be.
There are a lot of single ladies that God is prospering and lifting their heads up and one of my spiritual daughters was concerned about being promoted. And when I asked her why, her answer was, is it not too much – who will marry me? And I said to her, never ever in your life say that again. God will bring the man that has the capacity; the one that can carry the things that God is crowning you with. In fact, one of the ways of getting rid of scruffy, mediocre, riff-raff is to be who God has called you to be.
The reason ‘questionable’ people are the ones interested in you is, you have not begun to become who God has called you to be. When you become who God has called you to be, you eliminate the crowd. “Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us” –Maryanne Williamson. Never ever, ever, ever apologize for Standing Tall. Profound!
Prayer: Father, I repent for the many times I have shrunk to fit people’s mold. I receive Your grace and strength to be all You have called me to be, in Jesus Name.
