Leave Eros Alone II

‘Oh, let me warn you, sisters in Jerusalem, by the gazelles, yes, by all the wild deer:
Don’t excite love, don’t stir it up, until the time is ripe—and you’re ready’ Sng.3:5.

Love is as strong as death. Love intoxicates and anything that intoxicates seeks to control. Love makes you do weird and crazy things so if you awaken it before time you would be in serious trouble. Is it love to wash the undergarments of a woman? If she is your wife yes, there is nothing wrong with it. Sadly, some of us cannot love our wives that freely and that is not right. I can proudly say that I have washed the undergarments of only one woman and she is my wife. I am not Read the rest of this entry

Leave Eros Alone I

‘Promise me, O women of Jerusalem,
not to awaken love until the time is right’ Sng.8:4.

If you are single, leave Eros alone until marriage. ‘I plead with you, I beseech you o women of Jerusalem not to awaken love until the time is right’ [Please also read Songs of Solomon 2:7, 3:5, 8:4]. And this is so important for those of us that are single. Don’t awaken this thing called Eros until the time is right. You will mess up too many things in your life. Let the sleeping dog lie. Don’t awaken it until the time is right. Why such a strong plea not to awaken love ahead of Read the rest of this entry

In Marriage

‘The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife’ 1 Cor.7:3-4

For you to have a fulfilled marriage you must experience Philia, Agape, and Eros. If you are married and all you have been experiencing is Philia and Agape then you cannot have a fulfilled married life really. Singles are even better positioned because they don’t need to be worried about Eros. One mistake a lot of married people make is compartmentalizing sex and viewing it as separate from love. In marriage, sex is love. I hope this doesn’t sound Read the rest of this entry

All You Need

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners’ Rom.5:8.

For you to have a fulfilled life as an individual, married or single, you must experience Philia and Agape. Philia is brotherly love, dispassionate love, loyal love, and friendship; and Agape is unconditional love. In other words, you must have people that are loyal to you and will love you in spite of yourself. If you lack that then you will have issues. For you and I to experience fulfilled lives, we must have in our lives brotherly love – people that are just our friends and Read the rest of this entry

Get Busy!

‘Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground’ Gen.1:28

God said to Adam and Eve ‘be fruitful and multiply’. In other words, get busy! How can you be fruitful? Get busy! Sadly Adam and Eve did not act on that instruction on time. I am sure you are wondering how I know. Well, they did not get busy until Genesis chapter four. Perhaps if they had acted immediately instead of hanging around the tree talking to the serpent, a whole lot of things would have been different today – just perhaps. The key thing is get busy. I say to people Read the rest of this entry

You Decide

‘Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond…’ Rom.12:2 [MSG]

When it comes to every area of our lives, everyone must decide what will be the authority. You have to decide what will dictate the things you do and how you do the things you do. You could either accept the culture as the authority in your life or you could accept the Word of God as the authority in your life. If you are a believer in Christ Jesus then you should accept the Word of God as the authority in your life. Regardless of what the culture is saying or doing, the Word Read the rest of this entry

Anti-Seduction Strategy III

Love wisdom like a sister;
make insight a beloved member of your family. Let them protect you from an affair with an immoral woman, from listening to the flattery of a promiscuous woman’ Prov.7:4-5

Anti-seduction strategy four: Know Who You Are. ‘The sayings of King Lemuel-an inspired utterance his mother taught him. Listen, my son! Listen, son of my womb! Listen, my son, the answer to my prayers! Do not spend your strength on women, your vigor on those who ruin kingsProv.31:1-3. This is a woman telling her son who he is – the son of her womb, the answer to her prayer, a king. Don’t destroy yourself by walking on a certain path just because Read the rest of this entry

Anti-Seduction Strategy II

The woman approached him,
seductively dressed and sly of heart… She threw her arms around him and kissed him, and with a brazen look…’ Prov.7:10 & 13

Anti-seduction strategy two: Access Control. For instance, everybody can log into a network but not everybody has the same access control. Some people can access some files while some people cannot. Some people can get to some certain servers while some others cannot. Some servers are even demi-literalized zones [DMZ]; you do not even know they exist. You need to have access control in your life. There are certain people that you should not hug because they Read the rest of this entry

Anti-Seduction Strategy I

‘Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence’’1 Cor.10:12 [MSG].

Before we delve into the anti-seduction strategies, there are two things you need to know about seduction. Firstly, anyone can be seduced. ‘You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else’. Those who are in ministry have noticed that that anointing does not resist temptation. Secondly, not everyone can be seduced. It may appear contradictory but it is not. ‘Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election Read the rest of this entry

Please Pray!

She threw her arms around him and kissed him, and with a brazen look she said, “I’ve just made my peace offerings and fulfilled my vows’ Prov.7:13-14

The fourth thing she did is that she engaged the supernatural. She did not only plan for him, dress for him, promise him secrecy, she engaged the supernatural just to catch him. Some ladies engage the powers of witchcraft just to capture men. Wives, please pray for your husbands because there are other women out there that are going to some serious lengths to capture them. A lady once confessed that the power she uses to capture men is that she washes her ‘privates’ Read the rest of this entry
