‘God blesses those people who depend only on him. They belong to the kingdom of heaven!’ Matt.5:3 [CEV].

Jesus says the resources of heaven are at the disposal of those who depend only on Him. You and I must understand that without God we are doomed. The strength of the helmet does not come from the head that it protects. The strength of the helmet comes from the material that the helmet is made of. Our confidence does not come from our ability or who we are. Our confidence comes from who our God Read the rest of this entry

Your Seed

‘Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hand’ Ps.127:3-4

A number of us are emotionally attached to people we are in relationships with. And when such people experience a loss we are moved with compassion for them. As such we want to lend a hand now and again to help make up for the emptiness they feel. However there are lengths that we must think carefully about before engaging. For example, a divorced or single woman who weighs her options and settles on having a child to fill the emptiness she is feeling, approaches a young man she is close to for a sperm donation. Choices

‘Pure and genuine religion is the sight of God the Father means caring for the orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you’ James 1:27

Are you one of those seeking Biblical based answers to why Christians shouldn’t go to the club? I believe you know the answer to this already but you are just looking for Scriptural proof. The truth is, it is what you feed that will grow in you. Nobody is a spiritual giant. The people that you think are spiritual giants deliberately control their environment. Your environment determines what grows in you. If you put a corn seed on the table for one year, when you come back it most likely will still be the corn seed. But if you put that same Read the rest of this entry

Voice Of Gratitude

‘Then Naaman and his entire party went back to find the man of God. They stood before him, and Naaman said, “Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant’ 2 kings 5:15

The final voice that Naaman experienced was the voice of gratitude. Many times we do not show gratitude to God. In fact, gratitude to God becomes a second thought. I have been guilty of this, I believe, in the past. I would pray to God for something major. I’d stay in the place of prayer for as long as it takes and trust God to bring it to pass. Then God does it and I am excited and happy. I call my wife we talk about it but I never really say thank you to God. Then God prompts me Read the rest of this entry

Attitude of Gratitude

‘It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening’ Ps.92:1-2.

God’s Word of establishment is true for you this year as it was last year. You will continue to grow roots downwards in Him and bear fruits upwards in Jesus Name. It is important to start the year with an attitude of gratitude. If we constantly put before our faces all that God has done for us we will overflow Read the rest of this entry

The Law of Beginnings

‘Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin…’ Zec.4:10

It is God’s desire that we start from where we are and move to where He alone can take us. It is called the law of beginnings. Some people tend to ignore the beginning because they believe that the beginning does not determine the end. While this is true in some cases, it is also dangerous in many cases. There are some foundational things that must be sorted before starting any venture and Read the rest of this entry

He Came To Give

‘For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.’ Matt.20:28

Jesus was born.  Adam wasn’t born and Jesus is God, so Jesus didn’t have to be born but He was born so we can relate to Him. Jesus was born to give. He gave and gave until He gave His life. The same way Jesus was born to give, so were we born to give. As a matter of fact, we will not be able to enter into the fulfillment God has for us if we don’t begin to give. Jesus practically Read the rest of this entry

Gratitude

‘This will remind each new generation of Israelites that I made their ancestors live in shelters when I rescued them from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God’ Lev.23:43

The third significance  of ingathering is Gratitude. The feast of ingathering was to remind the Jews of how they dwelt in tabernacles, boots and tents when they were going from Egypt to the Promised Land. For some of us God is going to put an end to the pain we are experiencing forever but God does not want you to forget. In fact I am certain that for some people, the only Read the rest of this entry

And God Said: Ask Anything

That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!” 1 Kings 3:5

Solomon loved the Lord and followed all the decrees of his father, David, …The most important of these places of worship was at Gibeon, so the king went there and sacrificed 1,000 burnt offerings. That night the Lord appeared…, and God said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!’ [1 Kings 3:3-5]. And God said and God is still saying ask anything that you want. First comes the Read the rest of this entry

Self-Righteous?

My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to Your decrees. Ps.119:71

I kept myself and got married as a virgin, I’m now married for five years and I don’t have a child. If God were to choose someone to delay childbirth, why me, after all I have been faithful! I know what other girls did in school and yet they got pregnant immediately. Why me? A number of us have experiences that Read the rest of this entry
