Walking with God

‘I will set My dwelling in and among you, and My soul shall not despise or reject or separate itself from you. And I will walk in and with and among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people’ Lev. 26:11-12.

God wants to have a relationship with you. Through Jesus, He established a more personal relationship with us were we can talk to Him personally and not through a priest. Walking with God requires two things; agreeing with God and pleasing God.

Agreement: Walking with God requires an agreement [Amos 3:3]. You must ask yourself truthfully, are you in Read the rest of this entry

Prosperity Test II

“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God” Luke 12:21

Caution! How you respond determines how heaven responds. How that man, Scripture describes him as the ‘rich fool’ responded determined how God responded. “But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’ Luke 12:20. When you get that windfall – it is a test. When you get that promotion – it is a test. God is testing you. And I am praying that you will pass the test in Read the rest of this entry

Prosperity Test I

‘He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my crops.’  Then he said, ‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods’ Luke 12:17-18.

Every time you get an increase or a breakthrough and you are wondering what to do with it, be sure heaven is also wondering what you would do with it. That is the prosperity test. And like every other test, people can either fail or pass the prosperity test. The man in Luke 12:16-19 shows us clearly how to fail the test. Failing the prosperity test is simple – believe that ‘the more’ is always for you. To fail the test I believe that Read the rest of this entry

More and More

Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others’ 1Tim.6:18.

I will intentionally give more and more and more. When you come to see me in the office, I am usually dressed simply, T-Shirt and jeans. When God blesses me with lets say three hundred and fifty million dollars [say Amen], you will still see me dressed in my jeans and T-shirt at the office. I am not going to now begin to wear Armani suits to the office. I deliberately will try to maintain my level of living so that I can Read the rest of this entry

A Test

‘The Lord All-Powerful says, “Try this test. Bring one-tenth of your things to me. Put them in the treasury. Bring food to my house. Test me! If you do these things, I will surely bless you. Good things will come to you like rain falling from the sky. You will have more than enough of everything’ Mal.3:10 [ERV].

In the Bible, numbers mean different things. One is the number for unity – one God the Father of all. Two is the number for witness – in the mouth of two or more witnesses. Three is the number for the Godhead, the Trinity. Four is the number for balance. Five is the number for grace. Six is the number for man. Seven is the number for perfection. Eight is the number for new beginnings. Nine is the number for fruitfulness. Ten Read the rest of this entry

A Tenth

‘The purpose of tithing is to teach you always to put God first in your livesDeut.14:23 [TLB].

Yesterday, we established the fact that when Jesus came and fulfilled the Law, the part of the Law that He made irrelevant was largely the ceremonial law – the law of access to God. Jesus came to fulfill that law; He set aside the old so that He can bring about the new. That is the covenant that was replaced. The covenant Read the rest of this entry

Lesson Two

“‘A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.’ Lev.27:30 [NIV].

The second lesson in learning how to give more is to intentionally return to God what belongs to God. You have to deliberately give back to God what belongs to God. You have to be deliberate about your tithing. The tithe does not just fly out of your account, have you noticed? You have to be deliberate in paying it. ‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house…Mal.3:10 [NIV]. God says the Read the rest of this entry

Lesson One

You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God’ 2 Cor.9:11 [NIV].

The All-Powerful God became helpless, at the “mercy” of Joseph and Mary, the amateur parents. Secondly, God came as a human being because man messed up and man had to fix it up. God became a human being because it will take man to put straight what man messed up. Christmas is such a big deal because of the relevance of Christmas. Christ, God came to earth and became a man. The Bible puts it this Read the rest of this entry

Checks And Balances II

‘When you have eaten your fill, be sure to praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you’ Deut.8:10

Be content with your spouse. He or she is your portion. Contentment will even help your intimacy because your spouse will be comfortable around you and not self-conscious. Your spouse will confidently know that he or she is accepted. But when all you can see is that he or she is getting fat then something is wrong. I am not saying we should not challenge ourselves to be healthy or even better. I am just saying be Read the rest of this entry

Be Rich Towards God

‘Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be’ Matt.6:21

Research shows that Jesus spoke more about money than He spoke about heaven. Have you ever wondered why Jesus would speak more about money than He spoke about heaven? It is not because money is more important than heaven. The reason Jesus did this is revealed in this Scripture, ‘“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money’ Matt.6:24. Jesus did not say you cannot serve God and Read the rest of this entry
