Inspite Of Dysfunction II
‘One day the girl said to her mistress, “I wish my master would go to see the prophet in Samaria. He would heal him of his leprosy’ 2 Kings 5:3
With all the boldness in the world, the young Israelite slave girl put forward her suggestion to the general’s wife. You and I must learn to function in spite of dysfunction. Naaman was leprous but the king had to lean on him. Leprous people usually have a colony; they do not even come into the society. Even though Naaman was leprous the king had to put his hand on him at the risk of getting contaminated. Naaman was that important. Even though he was leprous, Naaman had Read the rest of this entry
Inspite Of Dysfunction I
‘The king of Aram had great admiration for Naaman, the commander of his army, because through him the Lord had given Aram great victories. But though Naaman was a mighty warrior, he suffered from leprosy’ 2 Kings 5:1
We must learn to function inspite of dysfunction, challenges, and everything that life throws at us. Naaman was a leper but even leprosy did not stop him from deploying and releasing his gift and becoming the general of a nation. For a nation whose king is not a warring king, the general becomes practically the number one person. Some nations have kings who are warring kings like David but in some nations the kings are not warring kings like in this case. So Naaman was Read the rest of this entry
In His Image
‘So, God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them’ Gen.1:27
The second step to walking in the supernatural is as a man you need to understand your make up. Man is his spirit and not his body. I want you to do this exercise because I did it and it changed my life. Stand in front of the mirror, look at the person you are seeing and say to that person this is not Bose Hassan [please fill in your own name], Bose Hassan is inside you. Then say, ‘Bose Hassan, you are anointed of God, your eyes and your ears are opened spiritually. It sounds spooky right? In reality, even though you can only see your bodily reflection in the mirror, just keep speaking it, and watch what will happen. You will become more aware of your real self. A lot of us are not aware of ourselves. Man is a spirit, he lives in a body, and possesses a soul. So the three concentric circles kind of pictorially demonstrate what man really is. You see that in the innermost core of man is the spirit, then the soul kind of bridges between the spirit and the body. The soul processes what the spirit is trying to communicate and passes it to the body and then the body responds. Now for someone that is not saved, the person still has a spirit. Some people say that if you are not born again you don’t have a spirit but that not true. The person still has a spirit but the spirit is volatile, subject to the enemy, nature, and so many things can go wrong. It is the spirit that is created in the image of God. God is a spirit so God’s image would be a spiritual image. Therefore what was created in the image of God is the spirit of man.
Prayer: Father, help me to be fully aware to the part of me that is in Your image and operate in the strength You have placed in my spirit man, in Jesus Name.
Grow Relational Roots I
‘A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly’ Prov.18:24a [KJV]
We have established that the first step to growing relational roots is to qualify your relationships. The second step is to be the right person in the relationship. Everybody is looking at the other person to be the right person in the relationship. The husband wants his wife to be the right wife, and vice Read the rest of this entry
Identity Crisis?
I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other!’ Rev.3:15
I dislike it when people are on the boarder line. If God is God then serve Him. If you want to be hot, be hot. If you want to be cold, be cold. You cannot be an eagle and remain with the chickens. You need to leave the chickens alone. It may appear lonely but the sight of other eagles is sharp and they go after what Read the rest of this entry
Vitality III
‘But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint’ Isa.40:31 [KJV].
God wants you and I to have a system of vitality, a system of strength renewal. As eagle believers we must learn the secret of renewal and vitality. The key can be found in Isaiah 40:31 ‘But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…’. The eagle went into the rock and renewed its strength. Jesus is our Read the rest of this entry
Vitality II
‘But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint’ Isa.40:31 [KJV].
‘But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength’. How do you wait upon the Lord? People’s first response to this question is prayer and fasting. Yet it is possible to fast and pray and not wait upon the Lord. Fasting should automatically lead to waiting upon the Lord but it doesn’t in all cases. We can Read the rest of this entry
Vitality I
‘He wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal. He renews your youth—you’re always young in his presence’ Ps.103:5 [MSG]
An eagle is full of life. It has the power to endure and the capacity for survival. The eagle is full of vitality. The reason it appears that the eagle is full of vitality is because the eagle knows when to renew its strength. In fact when the eagle is about thirty years old, its physical life becomes very difficult. Its conditions Read the rest of this entry
The Wilderness
‘Then the Lord said to Moses, “look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day…’ Ex.16:4
At a point in my walk with God, the gospel I knew and we preached was ‘give your life to Jesus and all your problems will go away’. However, the truth is that is not the gospel at all. Unfortunately some people are still preaching that. Jesus says ‘in this world you will have tribulations but be of good cheer Read the rest of this entry
Established in Righteousness II
‘A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved’ Prov.12:3 [KJV].
As a pastor, I can enter a house and discern the spiritual climate of that house [it is one of the perks of being a pastor]. I visited a family and I could tell that the mother was dancing to the tune of the child because she wanted to win the heart of the child and be known as the good parent, while the father is Read the rest of this entry
