It’s Your Choice
He revealed his character to Moses and his deeds to the people of Israel. Psalm 103:7
‘The LORD said to Moses, Get going, you and the people you brought up from the land of Egypt. Go up to the land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I told them, ‘I will give this land to your descendants. And I will send an angel before you… Go up to this land that flows with milk and honey. But I will not travel among you…’ Ex.33: 1-3. Regarding the people of Israel as well as to you and I today, God said and is Read the rest of this entry
Experiencing His Face
‘Then the LORD came down in a cloud and stood there with him; and He called out His own name, Yahweh’ Exodus 34:5
Seeking the Face is experiencing the presence of God. Really when you seek His face, you will find fullness of joy in His presence and discover His right hand which has pleasures for evermore. God will work amazing miracles in our lives by His hand but let us seek His presence. And walk in an increased measure of His presence that you carry. It comes by hunger, you must desire His presence. When you seek His face you get access into His presence. God’s presence comes with responsibilities. It demands that Read the rest of this entry
Experiencing His Hand
‘But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel’ Acts 9:15.
‘The Hand of God’, is a term people loosely use to describe the Power of God. When God’s hand is upon any situation, the game is sure to change. When you seek His Hand you get access to His power. For centuries man has sought the Hand of God for various reasons. The power of God doesn’t change us; it is His presence that changes us. That is why it is possible for people to experience God’s power perhaps in healing and still Read the rest of this entry
Approaching God
‘But Joseph [first] shaved himself, changed his clothes, and made himself presentable; then he came into Pharaoh’s presence’ Gen.41:14b [AMP]
Having access to someone is one thing; approaching the person properly is another thing entirely. Yes you have access to God by the Blood of Jesus because you are under the new covenant but unfortunately that is not all it takes. It is just access. Imagine having access to the president of Nigeria; access means you can walk into his office in Aso Rock. Then what happens? The fact that you have access does not guarantee that Read the rest of this entry
Never Give-up
But this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests! Luke 18:5
Jesus in Luke 18:1-8, told this story to His disciples to show that they should always pray, NEVER GIVE UP and keep walking in faith. Jesus is saying, if you keep at it, God will not fail you. It is just a function of time and you will get what you are asking for. Faith is believing even when you do not see it [Read Heb.11]. The scripture says that God is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love. It will be unrighteousness for God Read the rest of this entry
Are You Available?
‘…And from then on this disciple took her into his home’ John19:27b
Many have deliberated over why Jesus chose to commit His mother into Johns care. He had siblings, at least we know of two that were also used mightily by God – and Jude. Why not Peter, who was always so eager to run towards the Master? Others speculate that if He had entrusted Peter with His mother, Peter would have abandoned her and gone fishing. We cannot judge if there was a better option. However, the answer to this question is quoted in Read the rest of this entry
Third Words
When Jesus saw His mother standing there beside the disciple He loved, He said to her, “Dear woman, here is your son. And He said to this disciple, “Here is your mother.” John 19:26-27a
The third words of Jesus are the words of Relationship. Jesus was on the cross, in pain and He still had compassion and a sense of responsibility towards His mother. Many times people use the pressures of life, work, or career as excuses to be nasty to their spouse, friends and even family. Some people go as far as Read the rest of this entry
Personalize Him
‘The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety’ Ps.18:2
God does not just want to be the Alpha and Omega to you, He desires to be your Alpha and Omega. It is impossible to have God to yourself alone but you can choose to personalize your every interaction with Him. Personalize His Word, personalize His praise and worship. Paul admonishes us to look for every opportunity to sing to God from our heart. Do not just call Him God, call Read the rest of this entry
Unbroken Link
“Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Matt.27:36
What must I do to put my relationship with God intact? ‘Jesus replied, you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the
