The Attitude

1 Corinthians 9:26 “So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step. I fight to win. I’m not just shadow-boxing or playing around.” (LB)

We will pick up today from our final thought yesterday. The question is, can you say that by the end of 2022 you completed everything God would have you do and that there was nothing left in 2022 for you? Are you ready for 2023 or do you have unfinished business from the previous year? Read the rest of this entry

On Purpose

Psalm 19:5-6 “It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race. The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.”

We are pressing further into Light and for the next few days, God Himself will equip us with all that we need to shine bright. By the time this season is over, you will shine brighter than you have been shining in Jesus Name. Interestingly, the two analogies God uses to describe the Christian are athlete and soldier. Pay Attention!

Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” (KJV)

Implications, IV

1 Corinthians 15:40-41 “There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another. There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.” (NASB)

Implications, III

2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Implications, II

John 3:30 “He must increase, but I must decrease. He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.” (KJV&NLT)

The first implication of light is Vision. The second implication is Evangelism. The third implication is Rapid Progress. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, this year, if they are to sum up your life and the lives of your children in one word, it will be brilliant. Read the rest of this entry

Implications, I

Psalm 44:3 “They did not win the land with their swords. It wasn’t their strength that won them victory. It was Your strength—Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your presence that gave them success, for You loved them.” (Voice)

The first implication of light is Vision. The second implication of light is Evangelism, and this is huge. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 & 6But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them… For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (KJV). Enlighten

Psalm 36:9 “For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.” (NIV)

God’s light has a source, and the source is God! Therefore, to engage The Source, the first thing we need to do is to Practice His presence. The second thing that we need to do is to Be Engaged In His Word. Psalm 119:105Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Read the rest of this entry

1 John 1:5 “This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.”

At the beginning of each year, we press in to discern what God wants, and He is gracious enough to give us instructions for the New Year. However, crossing from 2011 into 2012, I said to the Lord, ‘if You would give Your boy just one Word that encapsulates the year and what You want to do, what would it be?’ Read the rest of this entry

Surely!

Isaiah 14:24 “The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, “Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, and as I have purposed, so it shall stand” (NKJV)

John 7:37–39On the last day, the climax of the festival [the climax of the season, the festival of ingathering], Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)” This feast is known as the feast of ingathering. As the Priest was rounding up the feast, Jesus barged in and declared that He is the water of life. Ingathering is also the feast of tabernacles or the feast of boots. How is this important to us New Testament Christians? Firstly, you should know the scriptures. Ingathering applies to us in three ways. Read the rest of this entry
