Kill It!

Ephesians 4:31-32 “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (NIV, emphasis added)

So, how do I get rid of bitterness? To get rid of all bitterness, we do what the Bible says in our anchor scripture. The first is Kill Bitterness With Compassion. And the second is Kill Bitterness With Forgiveness.

Pay Attention

Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (NIV)

The interesting thing about the holidays is they tend to magnify our emotions. Why are we discussing holidays now? So that you can guard your heart against the seed of offense, preventing the root of bitterness in advance. So, if someone is lonely during Christmas, for example, the loneliness will hit the rooftop. Read the rest of this entry

Watch Out

Matthew 15:13 “Jesus replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted is destined to be uprooted …pulled up by the roots.” (NIV & TPT)

This year 2024 is fast expiring, however, you have to keep guarding your heart to prevent the root of bitterness from taking root. Have you experienced deep-seated betrayals? Uproot!

Hebrews 12:14-15 “Work at getting along with each other and with God… Make sure no one gets left out of God’s generosity. Keep a sharp eye out for weeds of bitter discontent. A thistle or two gone to seed can ruin a whole garden in no time.” (MSG)

We thank God for teaching us and helping us to let go of things. Over the next few days, God is going to teach us to let go of bitterness. The truth is that people are going to hurt you. People are going to say all sorts of things about you. But you must make sure that you let go of bitterness. Read the rest of this entry

Reason of Use

Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (NKJV)

How do you differentiate between when the Spirit of God is speaking to you and when it is your instinct speaking? In my first book, New Creation Reality, I dedicate an entire chapter to hearing from God. Your instinct can speak to you, and you will think it is one hundred percent God. Just Believe!

John 6:29 “Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” (NIV, emphasis added)

Faith is relational. Friends take their friends at their word. You have faith in someone, you believe in the person. You have faith in God, you believe God. You relate with God; you believe what God says. You have a relationship with Jesus, you believe what Jesus says. Read the rest of this entry

Priority Heart

Proverbs 4:23 “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” (NKJV, emphasis added).

We will continue with our final thought from yesterday, which is that you do not need anyone to say sorry to you first before you forgive them. Just forgive and move on because some people, for example, some African parents, will never say sorry. Read the rest of this entry

Shalom, Shalom!

Romans 8:31-32 “What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?” (emphasis added).

You can go through pain and refuse to be sorrowful. I have had experiences where people will try to convince me that I should be sorrowful because of such and such that happened to me. Read the rest of this entry
