Wisdom Q & A, I

Proverbs 19:8 “The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.” (NIV)

What does contemplation mean? To contemplate is to give it a second look, to consider it again, or to think about it. For example, if something happens, and you want to make a decision, to contemplate would be to think about what you want to do. Do not make a brash decision. Read the rest of this entry

Whose Counsel?

Proverbs 21:30 “There is no wisdom or understanding or counsel against the LORD.” (NKJV)

We will kick off with our final thought from yesterday which is that God talks in different ways. It is as you walk with Him that you are able to differentiate between your instincts and His voice. But having said that, the fact that it is your instinct does not mean it is wrong. Read the rest of this entry

Reason of Use

Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (NKJV)

How do you differentiate between when the Spirit of God is speaking to you and when it is your instinct speaking? In my first book, New Creation Reality, I dedicate an entire chapter to hearing from God. Your instinct can speak to you, and you will think it is one hundred percent God. The Heart

Proverbs 17:27-28 “A truly wise person uses few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered. Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.”

Words are so powerful. Sometimes, we are overly consumed with saying the right things. We should not be worried about saying the right things, just be focused on having a wise heart. If you pay attention to your heart and you become a wise person, it does not matter what you say, they will be wise words. Read the rest of this entry

Wisdom & Words

Proverbs 18:4 “Wise words are like deep waters; wisdom flows from the wise like a bubbling brook.”

At our workplace with our colleagues, some people are quick to jump to conclusions. And they come to us with their preconceived idea of how things are. How we respond determines the course of that conversation and the course of that relationship. And God is saying to us that a gentle answer deflects anger. Read the rest of this entry

The Wisest Thing

Proverbs 4:5-7 “Get wisdom; develop good judgment. Don’t forget my words or turn away from them. Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you. Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do…”

Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” The spring of your life is flowing from your heart. Let the Word of God penetrate deep into your heart so that the streams of your life will be the life of God.If you do not like the springs of your life,

Wisdom Ways

Proverbs 3:21-23My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble.”

Yesterday, we began to look at the channels, the ways we can interact with, engage, and download wisdom. The first way is by Inspiration. The second way is by Instruction. The third way is by Contemplation. The fourth way is by Books. There are things that have been written, therefore, Read the rest of this entry

Remember

Philippians 3:1 “Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.” (KJV)

Over the next few days, we are going to turn our focus to past lessons. Why? Sometimes, as God’s people, we learn so many things. If I ask you what has been the most striking lesson from God’s Word for you this year, does anything come to mind? With God, it is important that we pause and check again. Fight It!

Luke 17: 9-10 “And does the master thank the servant for doing what he was told to do? Of course not.  In the same way, when you obey me you should say, ‘We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty.’” (emphasis added)

1 Cor. 1:26-29 “Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. His Elect

Isaiah 45:4-5 “For Jacob My servant’s sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me” (NKJV)

Romans 9:10-16 “This son was our ancestor Isaac. When he married Rebekah, she gave birth to twins. But before they were born, before they had done anything good or bad, she received a message from God. (This message shows that God chooses people according to his own purposes; Read the rest of this entry
