Your Response, IV
Psalm 34:5 “Look to Him and shine, so shame will never contort your faces.” (Voice)
We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday which is that where you look determines what flows to you. Are you looking at the Source of light or are you looking at social media and what is trending? Are you looking at which celebrity is saying what, or what is going on in the news? Your Response, III
Psalm 27:1 “Yahweh, The Lord is my light and my salvation, my revelation-light and the source of my salvation — so why should I be afraid? I fear no one! The Lord is my fortress, protecting me. I’ll never turn back and run, for you, Yahweh, surround and protect me.” (NLT, TPT)
Psalm 114:1-7 “When the Israelites escaped from Egypt—when the family of Jacob left that foreign land—the land of Judah became God’s sanctuary, and Israel became his kingdom. The Red Sea saw them coming and hurried out of their way! The water of the Jordan River turned away. Read the rest of this entry
Your Response, II
1 John 1:5 “This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him.” (MSG).
Listen, there is no darkness whatsoever, there is no shadow of turning, no variableness in God. God is light, pure light. Since God is light and God is shining upon you, and you are like a tree, you will take the light of God and produce sustenance. Read the rest of this entry
Your Response, I
Isaiah 37:31 “And you who are left in Judah, who have escaped the ravages of the siege, will put roots down in your own soil and grow up and flourish.”
You will arise and you will shine. You will get up and you will be noticed for excellence. However, roots before shoots. In basic biology, the first thing that grows in a plant is the root. And it is because plants need water. The roots go down into the soil and get water for the plant. Read the rest of this entry
Like A Tree!
Psalm 1:3 “He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.” (TPT)
I have good news for you today. If you are in a tight place, you are like a tree. You are going to survive this season and begin to think long-term. Why does God compare us to trees? Another reason is in our operation. Read the rest of this entry
Created To Endure
Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” (NKJV)
God’s Word to us today is Arise and Shine. Why would God be telling us to arise and shine at such a time as this? Is that not counter-intuitive? However, I believe very strongly in my heart that God is speaking to you and to me and He is saying Arise and Shine. Read the rest of this entry
Cherished
Isaiah 49:15-16 “But the Lord says, “Can a woman forget her baby? Can she forget the child who came from her body? Even if she can forget her children, I cannot forget you. I drew a picture of you on my hand. You are always before my eyes.” (ERV)
Remember That This Will Pass. Remember To Focus On What Is Unchanging. Remember That You Are Not Alone. Remember That God Wants To Use You To Help Others. It could be through giving to help others. It could be through receiving help from others. Read the rest of this entry
Christ’s Body
Isaiah 43:2 “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you” (emphasis added).
This is God’s promise to you. Do you receive it today? No matter what you go through, you must always remember that God is with you. God is emphasizing remembering this season because we forget very easily. I have seen a lot of Christians forget that God is with them. Read the rest of this entry
Never Forget
Isaiah 49:15 “…Is it possible for a mother, however disappointed, however hurt, to forget her nursing child? Can she feel nothing for the baby she carried and birthed? Even if she could, I, God, will never forget you.” (Voice)
We are on number two out of the four things that we must remember to keep us strong. Four things that we must remember to empower us to arise and be all that God has called us to be as we represent God in the ways that He has called us to represent Him. The first is Remember That This Will Pass. Read the rest of this entry
Concentrate
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (NIV).
What is the difference between repercussion and punishment? Simply put, repercussion means if you sow corn, you will reap corn. Punishment is a different thing entirely. Read the rest of this entry
