Why Fast: Part 6

‘Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed’ Ecc.4:9.

Two Are Better Than One: God says two are better than one. This is one of the benefits of being planted in your Church family. None of us is as strong as all of us, no matter how anointed you are. Once another person’s anointing is added to yours, it increases the anointing. There is a cooperate anointing that is released when we fast as a Church. There is a cooperate dimension to grace and favour that yields increased life changing breakthroughs which perhaps individuals cannot attain on their own. ‘Go and gather together all the Jews of Shushan and fast for meEsther 4:16a. It involves all of us pulling together as a unit to seek God’s face and hand for the Church. ‘Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus ChristRom.15:6. Every Christian should be excited about cooperate fasts and take it as an opportunity to plug into the cooperate anointing, grace and favour. ‘Give the LORD no rest until He completes His work, until He makes [God’s Favourite House] the pride of the earthIsa.62:7.The Bible says ‘give the Lord no rest until He answers’. This is exactly what the cooperate fast achieves. All of us as a unit, petitioning Heaven together. I have encountered people who refuse to align with cooperate fasts. Instead they embark on their own personal fast. What point are you trying to prove by refusing to align and opting out to do your own fast? It is just pride. My advice, fast so you would not have to fast! Tap into the wealth of the anointing available during cooperate fasts to sort out personal issues [1 Samuel 10:10]. Move with the cloud of glory and amazing things will happen in your life. There is an anointing that is upon us by the grace of God that will flow into our individual lives as we flow with the cooperate spiritual exercise. I want to challenge you to take fasting seriously and watch the hand of God lead you into your inheritance.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that in our lives You will do that which eyes have not seen, that which ears have not heard and that which has not even begun to enter into the hearts of man, in Jesus Name.
