Supernatural: Introduction

‘…shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?’ Heb.12:9

God introduced the disciples and the church to the supernatural. He told the disciples to wait because the movement that was starting was not a natural movement. The movement was not to be attempted by power or by might. So they had to wait for power and for the supernatural, they waited fifty days. On the fiftieth day, the heavens opened and the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the church. The church began to move in the supernatural and the world has not remained the same ever since. The walk God has called us to, as Christians, is a supernatural walk where without the Holy Spirit we do not even have a chance. Everything seen and unseen have their roots in God. God is the supernatural. ‘…shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?’ Heb.12:9. God is the Father of spirits meaning He is the source of spirits, the progenitor of spirits through whom all spirits emerge. Way before creation, one of God’s creatures, a spirit called lucifer rebelled against God saying ‘I will exalt myself and be like the Most High, I will set up my throne and be like God’. Then God cast him out of heaven and lucifer went with a third of the angels of God. They are called the fallen angels and demons, and there began all the challenges we see on earth till date.

God created man and placed them in Eden and lucifer went in as the serpent to tempt them. He realized he could not tempt Adam so he went to the woman who was already looking at the fruit. How did I know? Read the Bible. He told her that the fruit she was looking at was able to make her wise. ‘Has God said you should not eat that fruit?’ She said ‘God even said we should not touch it’ and lucifer said ‘God wants to keep something special away from you’. Any spirit or anybody that is telling you that there is something more special than what God has for you is of the devil. Anyone that says to you if you tow the way of God, you are going to short change your self, that person is the devil or is speaking by the devil.

Prayer: Father, familiarize me with the supernatural. Make me more aware of the power that is available to me in the person of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name.
