Be Aware III

‘Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ’ 2 Cor.10:5[KJV]

The fourth thing we need to know about satan and his demons is that the devil thrives in darkness. The devil loves darkness and confusion. It is this same darkness and confusion he orchestrates in marriages because the devil hates for husband and wife to be at peace. The devil will plant conflicting thoughts in the mind of both the husband and wife. Thoughts that if not cast down and out will stair up confusion. There was a case of a man who walked into the house to see his wife and her mum and some other family members talking. But as soon as they saw him, they hushed up the conversation and everywhere fell silent. And immediately the devil said to him ‘they were talking about you. The very reason why your steps were ordered to come home early is so that you can catch them. And now that you have caught them you have to establish your authority in this house and let them know you are not a weak man. Even your mother in-law hates you’. The man believes the lies of the enemy and begins to pick fights with his wife and makes up his mind never to forgive his in-law. Two weeks later, the same man walks into the house to meet an amazing surprise party and he was so overwhelmed that he was almost crying. So he asked who put it together and they replied ‘that was what we were discussing when you came into the house so we had to keep quiet’. They were planning for his good and the devil was telling him the opposite. The devil is a lair; he loves and thrives in darkness. But thank God he will continue to fail concerning us. Secrets are a form of darkness, that is why secret societies are a dark place to be in. where you find unhealthy level of secrecy satan is in there. If you find someone that is extremely secretive and he cannot even confide in his wife then something is wrong. Satan loves darkness because that is his domain. But when you bring something to the light darkness looses its power. When you put on the light darkness disappears. Keeping secrets is giving the enemy something to control in your life.

Prayer: Father, I lay down my painful experiences, mistakes I have made, wrong decisions I have taken before Your throne. Let Your light chase out darkness from my life, in Jesus Name.
