No Other Name

‘There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved’ Acts 4:12

‘Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me’ John 14:6. So what about other religions, some of them are really good people, what will happen to them? God loves every Muslim, Buddhist, Atheist; God loves every single person He has created. I don’t even think God loves Christians better, so to speak, on the foundational basis of God’s love. A lot of these people are actually good people who do good things. You know Steve Jobs of Apple Computers as a child used to walk seven miles every Sunday to get free food in a Hare Krishna center. Is that not good works? Thousands have enjoyed free education sponsored by different religious organizations and even the occult. Is that not a good thing? How on earth can you convince these recipients that God did not send those people to them? It probably was God sent because God has not made the man that He cannot reach or use for that matter. God probably sent the Hare Krishna center to feed Steve Jobs so he won’t die of hunger and so you and I can have apple gadgets today. God sent Moses to the best university in Egypt funded by an idol-worshipping nation. They probably had shrines there; Moses went to school there but Moses still came out a child of God and a deliverer of the people of God from the same system. God can send you to a Muslim school. God is God! The best of our good works, when we put all our good works together as human beings, are like filthy rags before God. The only righteousness that can stand before God is the righteousness of Jesus. God blessed the Egyptian system for educating Moses because sowing and reaping is a universal law but there is no salvation in any other! Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life! So what is our role as Christians? Like Moses was sent back to Egypt to bring out God’s people, God is sending us back to those who are close to us but far from God. God wants us to bring them back to Him. Will you obey God? Instead of worrying, you be the light that God has called you to be.

Prayer: Lord, I ask for the grace to reach those who are close to me with the gospel. Help me use the opportunities You present to preach Christ, in Jesus Name.
