Make Jesus Your Centerpiece
‘Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness’ Col 2:7.
The third step to growing personal roots is to make Jesus the center of your life. Jesus is known as the root of David. In other words without Jesus, David is nothing. Jesus should be the root of your life; otherwise, without Jesus you are nothing. Examine your life; if you take away Jesus can you still function? Some Read the rest of this entry
Established in Righteousness II
‘A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved’ Prov.12:3 [KJV].
As a pastor, I can enter a house and discern the spiritual climate of that house [it is one of the perks of being a pastor]. I visited a family and I could tell that the mother was dancing to the tune of the child because she wanted to win the heart of the child and be known as the good parent, while the father is Read the rest of this entry
Established in Righteousness I
‘And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee’ Isa.54:13-14 [KJV].
The second step to growing personal roots is being established in righteousness. In other words, God is saying oppression, terror, fear, jealousy, approval addiction; all those things that are plaguing people that lack personal roots would be far from you when you are established in righteousness. ‘A man Read the rest of this entry
Established in His Love III
‘See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us His children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know Him’ 1John3:1.
I was reading someone’s blog sometime back and he was sharing a conversation he had with his daughter while they were driving. He said he asked his daughter ‘does daddy love you’ she replied ‘yes’. Then he said ‘can you ever do anything to make daddy stop loving you’ and she said ‘no, there is Read the rest of this entry
Established in His Love II
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love’ Rom.8:38
Being established in God’s love makes you fearless and all of a sudden no one can oppress you. Think about it this way, even if you are staying in a rented apartment and you visit your sister who lives in a super-duper mansion. And the enemy wants to choke you with jealousy because their kitchen alone is Read the rest of this entry
Established in His Love I
‘So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority’ Col2:10
The first step to growing personal roots is being established in God’s love. Nothing drives away insecurity as fast as being established in the love of God. Being established in His loves comes from knowing and being connected with God. When you are established in God’s love, your identity will be found in His Read the rest of this entry
Personally Secure
Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness’ Col.2:7
Jesus is the head of all principalities and powers and we are complete in Him. Growing personal roots simply means to be personally secure in yourself. People who lack personal roots have a lot of visible insecurities. Such people see everyone around them as threats. They see their spouses, children, Read the rest of this entry

Lesson 7: Help others succeed. The spiritually rich people do not mind helping others succeed. ‘…Master, I knew you were a harsh man, harvesting crops you didn’t plant and gathering crops you didn’t cultivate’ Matt.25:24. How to be Spiritually Rich IX
‘…Master, you gave me five bags of silver to invest, and I have earned five more’ Matt.25:20b
Lesson 6 (cont.): Willingness to take spiritual risks. The truth is that you do not need faith if you are not taking any risk. Check your life, are you taking any risk in your life right now that if God does not show up you will be in trouble? If there isn’t then you are not living with faith. ‘The just shall live by faith’ and ‘without faith, it is Read the rest of this entry
