The Difference

So many times the land we desire of God is tied to the work of God in our hearts. Our Promised Land is tied to the extent to which the Holy Spirit is able to bring us under control. Not Weakness

Wikipedia.com defines meekness as power under control. Real meekness is power under control and not weakness. If you look at the root word for meekness in the Greek Prautes it means the middle point between two extremes – getting angry unreasonably [the Greek word orgulotes] and not getting angry at all [the Greek word aorgesia]. Your Inheritance!

The Bible says ‘blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth’. There is a land before you that you are not being patient about it. Guess what? Be Submissive
‘And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord’ Eph.5:21-22
To be meek is to be submissive. Blessed are the submissive. The truth is that it is not only wives that are meant to be submissive to their husbands. Not Without Patience
‘Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised’ Heb.6:15.
Abraham is known as the father of faith. You cannot teach faith without patience. To teach faith without patience is to set people up for a life of disappointments and that is not what the Word of God teaches. There is an English proverb that says the patient dog eats the fattest bone. But this generation says – no way! The patient dog will starve to death. Some years ago, my wife and I were staying in a particular house and we had both good neighbors and ‘funny’ neighbors. We all know it’s easier to be friendly to the good neighbors and be not so friendly to the ‘funny’ neighbors. There are things that we all want from life. Things such as face to face communication with God, access to the resources of heaven, comfort when we are going through affliction, to inherit the earth, we want people to call us children of God, and we want to have possessions and prosperity.
