Persist Still

‘And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death’ Rev.12:11 [KJV].

‘When the devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came’ Luke 4:13. Don’t think that because Jesus has empowered you then satan will fear you. Don’t think that because you are anointed then satan will back down from attacking you. He will not; but you will defeat him. Although your victory will not stop him from coming back but you shall be consistently victorious in Jesus Name. Even with Jesus, the Bible says he left Jesus for a season.

The third thing you must know about the enemy is how he fulfills persistent accusation. He uses believers to accuse other believers. In Job 1:7, God asked satan where he had been and satan said that he has been going to and fro. He has to run to and fro to monitor what is going on. Meaning, if satan is in Afghanistan now, he cannot be in Nigeria at the same time. I know this is shocking to some of us. God alone is Omnipresent. So how does he fulfill this ministry of staying before God and accusing the brethren day and night? As believers, we carry the presence of God and we have access to God. So he uses believer ‘A’ that is jealous of believer ‘B’ to accuse him. Then satan moves to another location. Believer ‘A’ goes to believer ‘C’ to gossip and accuse believer ‘B’ and so on. Who exactly are you working for? Jealousy is just one trait, offense is another trait and the list goes on and on. But whatever the enemy uses, it is usually legitimate. And the believers who are accusing another feel justified. But thank God for we overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. That is how satan fulfills his ministry of consistent accusation before God; he needs and uses believers. That is why in God’s Favourite House, we have zero tolerance for gossip. We don’t do gossip as part of our value system. So if you find someone that comes to you with gossip, say to him or her, this is God’s Favourite House – we don’t do that here! That is bad behavior. We do not do gossip. It is a spiritual thing and we are deliberate about it. We cannot afford to gossip. We will stand before God in intercession for and not in accusation of others.
