Will He Find You?
‘But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?’ Luke 18:8
‘All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth’ Heb.11:13. The Bible says that patriarchs died still believing God. In a sense when God came for them, they still believed, they were pleasing to God. Let me ask you a question, if God does not grant that so urgent request when you want, are you still going to believe God? You need to have ‘the’ talk with yourself. If God does not give you that life changing and destiny-shaking breakthrough are you still going to adore Him? Will you still let faith control your actions? Or are you going to be like those who believed God for one ‘big’ thing and because He seemingly did not come through for them they abandoned Him altogether? What they have forgotten is that this very God has been their daily sustenance even to the big day they were looking forward to and beyond. Believe me, Jesus is coming back! But what He is saying is that when He comes back will He find faith that is not A.S.A.P but A.L.A.T? When He shows up will He still find people who are trusting and believing Him for their needs? ‘…But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?” Luke 18:8 [MSG]. Will He still find persistent faith? Will He find you?
We once had a program for people who were trusting God for the fruit of the womb. While preparing for that program, we felt God was leading us to break bread. As many as partake of the communion, He would breath on them and they will all get pregnant. Let’s say we had twenty people at that program and eighteen have conceived – all glory to God alone. But we will not stop there. The way we work, by the grace of God, until the remaining two get pregnant we are going to believe God. Like the priests in Joshua 3, we will stand in the ‘Jordan’ until the whole congregation crosses to the other side. It is not A.S.A.P, it is A.L.A.T! If you are reading this and you know that you are not living for Jesus, then you need to come to God or come back to God because that is the starting point.
Prayer: Precious Spirit of Christ, please help me grow in persistent faith, in Jesus Name.
