A Message For You III

The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time’ Ps.34:19.

Remember, God says develop a thick skin and a soft heart. You can’t respond to everything you that happens or people say, you will kill yourself. Some of us make it our duty to respond to everything; you will just ware yourself out. Why, because pain is the companion of dreamer. It is possible that some people cannot relate to this right now because you are a dreamer but you don’t have pain. That’s fine, take note and keep it for the future. Craig Groeschel said “the quickest way to forget what God thinks about you is to be obsessed with what people think about you”. When you are obsessed about what people think about you, you forget who you are. You cannot always make a point or answer back. It is not important as long as you are doing what God has called you to do [Ps.34:19].

God’s third message for you is make the Kingdom of God priority. “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you needMatt.6:31-33. In other words, if you are a believer these things are not supposed to dominate your thoughts. The Kingdom of God should dominate your thoughts. So make the Kingdom priority. Your litmus test to see if the Kingdom is priority in your life is simple. Just check, if the topmost priority for that dream is not Jesus’ then you need to repent. Say you are a businessman who is flourishing, if your topmost priority is to build bigger houses, drive bigger cars, or marry another wife. God is not interested in whether you live in a big house or drive a small car. If this is what dominates your thoughts then something is wrong. There is a bigger picture. God says to the Jews ‘When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you’ Deut.8:10 [NKJV]. God is saying don’t worry you will eat and you will be full, that is not the issue. But don’t make eating and being full the primary thing. Don’t limit your focus to you, your children, and your grandchildren. There is a bigger picture and it is called the Kingdom.

Prayer: Precious Holy Spirit, help me to remain Kingdom focused in my daily decisions and choices, in Jesus Name.
