Keep Trusting
‘Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you which of his sons to anoint for me.” 1 Sam.16:4.
Knowledge comes line upon line, precept upon precept. God said to Samuel, ‘I will show you who to anoint. If I tell you the name, you will quickly go there and publish it. So go there first then I will show you’ [translated]. For many of us, God has said you are going to get married to this man and He has told you about the man. Years have passed and you are saying, “are these all the men?” I have good news for you today, David is coming! Believe me! I hope someone will receive this word. For some people it’s a job God has given you the prophetic word for. And you have looked at all the jobs and you are wondering are these all the jobs that you have? I say to you today, David is coming!
‘Jesse replied. “But he’s out in the fields watching the sheep and goats.” “Send for him at once,” Samuel said. “We will not sit down to eat until he arrives.” 1 Sam.16:11. You can almost feel the reluctance in Jesse’s voice. “There is still the youngest but he is out watching the sheep. Why do you want to worry about that nonentity?” [translated]. The word youngest in this portion of Scripture is the word katan. It simply means little, insignificant, small. So David’s father described him as insignificant. You may not look like it but greatness resides in you. The summation of people’s opinion about you may be katan. It may not even be a Jesse, your father that is putting you down. You may look at yourself and think what is this? Good news, greatness resides inside there. Look at Samson, Samson unlike the artistic representation of Samson that Christian literate has portrayed as somebody that is big and muscular, Samson was very skinny and he didn’t have muscle. How do I know? Read the Bible, if Samson was muscular will they be asking him where is your power? Samson was not muscular. Delilah will not be troubling him where is your power? Samson was ordinary. You may look ordinary but the extra is in you and it will make you extraordinary. ‘…greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world’ 1 John 4:4.
Prayer: I decree in line with God’s Word, greatness resides on the inside of me. I am great because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world, in Jesus Name.
