Heavens Appraisal

“And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? Luke 16:11

If at the end of this month, God gives you your annual income along with your regular monthly take home pay, what will you do with it? Calculate it and think!

You need to embrace the truth of the Word of God as is. God says Jesus became poor so that you through His poverty can become rich. To become rich in God, you have to come through the poverty of Jesus. What does that mean? We are not focusing on how to get rich but I will say this. Coming through the poverty of Jesus means you have to submit to Jesus. Jesus puts it this way, seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. It means seek first the Kingdom and the righteousness.

The opening question in today’s devotional is a test. God is testing you.  “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? Luke 16:10-11. Some people are even dishonest with God. God is testing you and how you respond is critical. A case in point we explained why 10% because ten is the number for testing. Some people don’t have a problem tithing; they earn fifty thousand – they tithe. God increases them, it becomes five hundred thousand – they tithe. God increase them, it becomes five million – they tithe. God increases them, it becomes fifty million they hesitate and begin to probe the church’s’ use of tithe. It is a test. God wants to know your capacity – how much can you hold [retain]? Heaven provides say fifty million – you don’t tithe. They bring it down. Then ten million – you don’t tithe, they bring it down. Five million – you tithe, they peg it and keep you there. It is a test. Please read Luke 12:16-19. ‘He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my crops’ Luke 12:17. Whenever you find yourself asking the question what shall I do be sure that heaven is saying “lets see what he or she will do”. Every time you get an increase or a break through and you are wondering what to do with all the money. Be sure that heaven is also wondering what you would do? And that is the prosperity test.

Prayer: Father, I ask that You will grow me in faithfulness by Your Spirit. Help me to be faithful in all that You put in my hands to do, in Jesus Name.
