Provocative Word

‘Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be’ Gen.17:5 & 15.

Even as 2014 comes to an end and as we look forward to 2015, God is saying destiny provoking name change. For some people, God is going to give you a new name before the end of this year. However, for some the name you are carrying is the issue. God had to change Abraham’s name from Abram to Abraham because that is His prophetic destiny. The name Abram was good but it was not great. So you need to carry the name of your prophetic destiny. God needed to change the name of Jacob to Israel. And when God had changed Abraham’s name and things were not happening still. God says, even your wife’s name needs to be changed [translated]. For some of us we have good names but we are yoked with people that have bad names. It is either they change their name or if you are not married to them you change your company. If you are married to them, while it is too late to change your company, but it is not too late to ask God to change their names. And God in His mercy will give the person a new name. ‘And God said’, this is one of my favourite phrases in the Bible. It means God can speak. If you cannot hear Him, that is a different thing. The fact that you cannot hear does not mean He cannot speak. Imagine your radio is tuned to a sports station so you cannot hear the praise and worship songs on the gospel station. Does that mean the gospel station is not broadcasting? It just means you cannot hear because you are not tuned in. You will hear today. Every negative frequency that you have been tuned to, God will retune you in the Name of Jesus. ‘And God said unto Abraham as for Sarai thy wife’; I can see that she is the one that is causing problem here. She has a bad name [my words] ‘thou shall not call her name Sarai anymore but Sarah shall she be called because she will be the mother of nations’. If you are yoked with the wrong person, God will change their names today. If you are married to them, you have to wait before God until He changes their name. But if you are not married to them, perhaps you just have friends that are taking you to hell. With some friends, you are fine until they come into your life. They do not want to change their name, middle name-Alcohol, and third name-Cigarette. You have to forsake that company.

Prayer: Father, please reveal to me the name You call me, that name that carries the destiny You have planned for me. So that beginning from today, I may be known by that name alone, in Jesus Name.
