Prayerful Beginnings III

‘Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain’ Ps.127:1 [KJV]

We need to understand that all power belongs to God. Jehovah has the final say. People may work tirelessly but unless the Lord approves, it cannot stand. So today we are going to continue still in the place of prayer because Jesus promises that if we ask and keep on asking, we will receive what we ask for. If we seek and keep on seeking, we will find what we seek. And if we knock and keep on knocking, the door shall be opened unto us. You will receive, you will find, and the doors will open unto you of their own accord in Jesus Name.

‘Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it’. You are praying for yourself, that the Lord will build and fortify you even in the last days of this year and in the coming year. Pray; It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places. He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me that my feet did not slip. I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed. I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet. For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me’ Ps.18: 32- 38 [KJV]. Amen.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land’ 2 Chro.7:14 [KJV]. Now you are going to pray for the Church of God, pray that a wave of genuine repentance will sweep across the Church and that God will heal our land. The truth is that except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain’. Our security is not in the absence of danger but in the presence of God. True repentance helps us secure God’s Presence.

Finally, you are going to pray for God’s Favourite House and for yourself. ‘So is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it’ Isa.55:11 [NIV]. Pray that God’s Words concerning you and God’s Favourite House shall not return to Him void but will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it.

Prayer: The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted’ [Ps.18:46 KJV], in Jesus Name.
