Sufficient For You

So you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power” Col.2:10 [TLB].

When you are trusting God for a child and you see people around you dedicating their children, rejoice with them. You are in the right place. Celebrate them, carry their babies, and buy gifts for them. Think of it as a stirring of the waters. Use it to encourage yourself, God will see your faith and it will be a stirring of the water for you. The man at the pool of Bethesda said there is a stirring of the waters [a time of healing] and he was waiting for his own time to partake of the healing to come. And guess what, Jesus came to him. As you celebrate people in the place of their own fruitfulness, your own will come. Do not waste your energy on bitterness or envy or self pity or regret. Instead, choose to focus on the fact that you are in a place where God’s blessings are evident and key into it. The same goes for those of us who are trusting God for a life partner and even those who are married. When people are celebrating marriages around you, rejoice because you too will celebrate soon. When couples are renewing their marriage vows around you rejoice because even though your marriage is wobbly right now, it will be restored. That is the sufficiency of Christ, everything is made perfect in Him – including you. Jesus is sufficient. He is sufficient because He is God, the Maker, and the Creator. He is our Savior and we are complete in Him. No demon could attack Jesus even though they tried. The devil, when he came to tempt Him, couldn’t succeed. When they tried to kill Him they couldn’t succeed. That same power [that same life] dwells in you and it is sufficient for you.

In what is Jesus sufficient? Jesus is sufficient for this life you live in and for the life hereafter “…anyone who gives up his home, brothers, sisters, father, mother, wife, children, or property, to follow me, shall receive a hundred times as much in return, and shall have eternal lifeMatt.19:29 [TLB]. Jesus is sufficient because His Word says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantlyJohn 10:10 [KJV] – abundant joy, peace, prosperity, and health. If you are holding a glass that is full to the brim, can anyone come and insist that you add more? Your response will be, ‘I don’t need anymore, I have enough’. That’s how Christ in our life is. You don’t need anymore; He satisfies that thirst. Even the thirst that you cannot express to another person, Christ is there to satisfy it. Express it to Him and you will find out that He is truly enough. Christ is sufficient.

Prayer: Father, I receive abundance and sufficiency in all areas of my life and my response is I have enough because I have Jesus, in Jesus Name.
