My Saviour

“May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation – the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ – for this will bring much glory and praise to God” Phil. 1:11

Yeshua, Jesus, came to save us from sin and everything that came as a result of sin. Sickness, devils, poverty, attacks; everything that came as a result of sin, Jesus came to save us from. This is why it is important to seek God, corporately and individually, and enforce everything Jesus has done for us. You will enforce it and it will stand, in Jesus Name.

Jesus is my salvation. Jesus is my savior. It is personal; salvation is personal. Jesus is my salvation is a personal thing. While it is possible to come together to fellowship and worship, salvation remains personal. You were not there when God found me. I was not there when He found you. I may have been there when God found some people but I still do not know what is going on in their hearts with God. Some people’s hearts sing, ‘Jesus I love you’ during worship. While for some, they may be worshipping with their lips but their heart is focused on the attention or lack of attention they are getting. Salvation is personal.

I know that some scriptures allude to the fact that salvation is communal. But if you look at those scriptures carefully, comparing scripture to scripture, you will see that it is really personal. When the jailers came to Paul and Silas and fell on their faces asking to know what to do to be saved, they responded, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” Acts16:31. It seems like the scripture is saying once they get saved, everybody in their household gets saved, right? But that is not what that scripture is saying. Everyone in charge of a household back then, had a lot of influence over the entire household. So when the person in charge gets saved, it opens their entire household to scriptures. They may not be able to save anyone but they are able to ensure that everyone is exposed to the Word of God. Which makes it possible for them to taste and see that the Lord is good and eventually leads to their salvation. That is why the Lord said concerning Abraham that, ‘I know he will command his household after Me’. So the faith of the father does not save the son. The faith of the mother does not save the daughter. The faith of the husband does not save the wife. The faith of the wife does not save the husband. Salvation is personal. While we can help each other along the way, salvation remains fundamentally personal. Jesus did what He did and He did it for all. But when we respond, we respond as one. It is between you and God.

Prayer: Father, May I always be filled with the fruit of my salvation – the righteous character produced in my life by Jesus Christ so that You will be glorified, in Jesus Name.
