Don’t Wait, Move!

“He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy” Lu.17:14.

Do you remember the story of the four lepers? [2 Kings 7:3-10]. There was famine in the land; the famine was so bad that people began to eat their children. And the four lepers said, “Why should we sit here waiting to die?” they asked each other. “We will starve if we stay here, but with the famine in the city, we will starve if we go back there. So we might as well go out and surrender to the Aramean army. If they let us live, so much the better. But if they kill us, we would have died anyway.2 Kings 7:3-4. Four people said let us fall into the hands of the enemy and let us see what God will do. And they marched to the camp of the enemy and God made their footsteps so loud that the enemy heard it and ran away abandoning everything. And the four lepers became billionaires just like that. They had so much money that they said look let us call everybody to join in this abundance. Take note of this; if you are still hoarding, then you don’t have enough money. I am praying that God will bless you with so much that you will call everybody to join in your abundance. But the first instinct is the poverty mentality, which is carry and hide. You have been doing that for so long, I pray that God will take you to the next level where you will see that there is so much abundance and you will say, if I keep this to myself, heaven will not be happy. I believe that God is taking us there, in Jesus Name.

Please read Exodus 14:10-15. The Israelites were in a tight situation and they said they would rather be held captive in Egypt than risk dying in the wilderness, even though they knew this was God’s leading. And Moses trying to be spiritual and a good leader said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” Ex.14:13-14. That is a theologically sound position. You can’t fault Moses on that. But this is what God said to Moses afterwards, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! Ex.14:15. The Red Sea in front and Pharaoh behind, on one hand Moses is saying, ‘just wait and see what God will do’. But on the other hand, God is saying, ‘don’t wait, move!’ Many of the things you are waiting on God for, God is waiting on you for. You have fasted and prayed and God has heard you but now move, do something because faith without works is dead. Do something about it; make a move.

Prayer: Your word is like a lamp that guides my steps, a light that shows the path I should take.  Your laws are good and fair. I have promised to obey them, and I will keep my promise [Ps.119:105-106], in Jesus Name
