Action Time

“Then at last the Lord said to me, ‘You have been wandering around this hill country long enough; turn to the north’” Deut.2:2-3.

One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” Luke 17:15. Many times, we take these things for granted because Jesus will not demand gratitude from us. Did Jesus go after the other nine lepers? No! Did He withdraw their healing because they did not show gratitude? No! He is bigger than all that. But was He happy that one at least came back? Yes he was! When we have special services, I have no doubt that God heals a lot of people, a lot of people are promoted, and a lot of people are delivered. But guess what? There would still be the nine that for one reason or the other will not come to Jesus to say, ‘thank You’. Jesus is waiting for you to show some gratitude.

#2. Jesus is waiting for you and I to take action. You cannot do what God can and will do, and God will not do what you can do. There are certain things that God alone can do, He has done, and He will continue to do. Yet there are certain things you alone will have to do. The children of Israel had served in Egypt for four hundred years. And God said I’m going to bring you out of Egypt and take you to a Promised Land. God sent them a deliverer, Moses, who convinced the elders and the people, then led them on a journey out of Egypt to the Promised Land. Pharaoh, who had let them go now changed his mind and was pursuing them with his chariots. Then the children of Israel met the Red Sea. Please read Exodus 14:10-15, it is an amazing story. I am saying to you today, whatever you do, don’t panic. There is going to be a lot of pressure but do not panic. This is not just a religious statement; I am saying do not be afraid. The people got to a point where they were between the Red Sea and Pharaoh. And they said something that some of us erroneously say in our hearts, or even verbalize, or attitudinally take that position. They said: it is better to be a slave in Egypt than to be a corpse in the wilderness. How can you say that? Everyone that will fulfill his or her destiny in God will and must take a position. You have to get to the place where you detest the slavery and you are willing to step out into what God has for you, even at the risk of losing everything. You are sure this is what God has said to do but the risk is too high. It looks like you will lose everything. The question to you today is, would you rather be a slave in the wilderness or would you take the step and trust God? God is waiting for you. You are the only one that can answer the question.

Thought:I have given you the choice between life and death… choose life…” Deut.30:19

Prayer: Lord, I am grateful for Your salvation and deliverance, I choose to enter into the life that You have set before me, in Jesus Name.
