With Purpose

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” Jer.29:11

It is my prayer that this singular life that we have, we will all make it count in Jesus Name. The opposite of a life that counts is a wasted life and I am praying that none of our lives will be wasted in Jesus Name. Everyone that God created He created with a purpose. God had something in mind when He made you and I and that life must count. My wife and I had dinner with a friend and his wife, we were all just talking about different decisions that we had made in the past and how they have impacted our lives. And he said to me how did you know ‘xyz’ decisions were the right decision? And I said to him it is simple I have made up my mind that this one life that I have will count. You also have one life, don’t believe that fairy tale about an afterlife. All you have is this one live because it has been appointed to man once to die and after that judgment. After death you and I are going to stand before God and give an account. Are you going to say you did not make your life count because someone looked at you in a funny way? Sadly, this is some people’s excuse for not serving God. Is that really the reason you are going to give when you stand before God? I am praying in the Name of Jesus that no life in God’s Favorite House and reading this devotional today will be wasted.

In light of this, there are three questions you need to wrestle with. These three questions if wrestled with correctly, will put your life on the path to count. The first question you have to wrestle with is whose plan? Whose plan are you going to follow? Are you going to follow your plan or are you going to follow God’s plan? It is a question you have to wrestle with because you have your own plans, your parents have their plans for you, and God has His own plans. But whose plan are you going to follow? Some people are living their lives based on their parent’s plans for them. Some parents are just interesting; some lady was about to disown her daughter because she wanted to study performing arts and not medical science. And her reason is because the girl is her only daughter and she wants her to be equipped to care for her in her old age. So whose plan are you going to follow, your parents, your own, your friends because even your friends have their plans for you, or God’s plan? If your life is going to count you have to answer this question. However, God is reassuring you today in case you don’t know that His plans for you are plans of good and not of evil, plans to give you a hope and a future. If God says something is good then it is good.

Prayer: Father, I submit this life You have given me to the plans You have for me, that you will lead my life to count for You daily, in Jesus Name.
