God’s Elect!

“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit…” Jn.15:16

All the prayer, worship, devotion, and fellowship are so that you and I can bear fruit. We have a part to play with God to bring about this fruit. God wants to cooperate with us to bring about life change in other people. Paul said, “I planted the seed. Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow” 1 Cor.3:6. God will make your seed grow, in the mighty name of Jesus! We are born to reproduce. Growth in Christ is not to makes us feel good. Growth in Christ is to make us win others. We are not maturing in Christ so that we can boast or have something to be to be proud of. We are maturing in Christ so that we can win others. Unlike biological fruitfulness that is tied to a time span, spiritual fruitfulness is not tied to a time span. In other words, with biological fruitfulness you need to at least be of a certain age. But not with spiritual fruitfulness; with spiritual fruitfulness, you can be fruitful just three days after you give your life to Jesus. After you become a newborn baby spiritually, you can begin to bear fruit! And guess what, with biological fruitfulness your season of bearing fruit can expire. When you become seventy, except you are Sarah, it is not likely that you will bear fruit biologically. But spiritually, it does not matter whether you are Methuselah, you will still be bearing fruit in old age.

However, the perquisite to giving birth is to have been given birth to. What does that mean? Simple. For you to be productive spiritually, you must be born spiritually. You must exist spiritually. For you to be a human being and have your own children you must be born into this word first, right? Same thing spiritually you cannot reproduce what you are not. You reproduce who you are. So if you are reading this and you are not born again. You are outside of God’s family. The good news is that you are not reading this by chance, God made this happen. Or perhaps you used to be born again, a part of God’s family but right now your life is void of God. I am here to tell you also that God made you see this for a reason. Are you close to church but you know without a doubt that your life is far from Christ? If you are in any of these categories I have listed, my prayer for you today is because you have surrendered to God today and hungered for salvation, The Lord will hear you from Heaven, forgive you, cleanse you and heal you. He will draw you close to Him and cause you to bear much fruit in Jesus Name.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be selfless. Help me to have irrational generosity. Help me to grow and reproduce spiritually, in Jesus Name.
