Rejoice! Help Is Here!

“…Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper” 2Chr.20:20

When Eli made that statement, Hannah’s response was, “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad1 Sam.1:18. Hannah was no longer sad. But the problem is people fear evil significantly more than they accept good. If some mad man or spiritualist dressed in his regalia were to walk up to an average person and curses the person. Most people will believe it and they will be troubled. But if a Pastor pronounces blessings in Jesus Name, most people believe it but they do not really believe it as much as they believe the curse. God wants us to turn that around. All Hannah heard was Eli’s response, she was thankful, she rejoiced, and her story changed. God is saying to you, I am going to send you help from heaven. Do you believe? Is anything too hard for God? Think about it. I want you to think about what you are going through. Then think about God, is anything too hard for the Lord? He said He will send you help from heaven, is anything too hard for Him?

I want us to spend some time thinking about this question, is anything too difficult for God? Then honestly answer this next question, are you going to believe God or are you going to keep doubting and keep shifting. I do not know what it is; it could be in your marriage, it could be in your finances, or it could be in your health. But the question to you and I today is are you going to believe God? Are you going to believe God and start rejoicing just like Hannah did because you know that help will come from above? As a child of God you have a great advantage – a promise of help when you need it most. Yet for some of us, our story is like that of the man in the Bible. “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked . “Anything is possible if a person believes.” The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!Mark 9:23-24. The first help you may need today is to cry out for help to overcome unbelief. My prayer is that when this season is over and we would have secured help from heaven, we will go about rejoicing and we will eat again. However, there are some reading this today and your desire is that you want to come into a relationship with God. As you surrender to God today, I pray that God will reveal Himself to you. I pray that God will change all our lives and connect us all to the Source of life Afresh. May your walk with God be real and tangible this season and beyond, in Jesus Name. Amen!

Prayer: Father, “My heart is confident in You, O God; no wonder I can sing Your praises with all my heart” [Ps.108:1], in Jesus Name.
