Dare To Move

“Then David asked the Lord, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the Lord told him, “Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!”  1 Sam.30:8

God is taking us on a journey. I believe that for some of us reading today’s devotional [I pray for all of us], God is moving you from relegation to promotion. God’s Word for you is victory and to secure victory, we need to deploy proven principles of war. In deploying these principles of war, victory is assured.

The Principle of the Offensive is: advance and attack the opposition, grab and exploit the opportunities. After you have set a clear objective, the next thing is to advance. Begin to move forward, begin to attack, begin to grab, begin to seize, and begin to exploit opportunities. Sadly, a lot of us are passive. We are just sitting and waiting for a miracle. Waiting for heaven to do stuff. But God is saying, you advance, you attack, you seize and grab the opportunities.

“…We wandered around in the region of Mount Seir for a long time. “Then at last the Lord said to me, ‘You have been wandering around in this hill country long enough; turn to the north” Deut.2:1-3. The children of Israel found themselves in an interesting situation, very similar to where a lot of us find ourselves today. You have been wandering around that situation long enough. It is time to move on the offensive. I am here to challenge you and to speak into your life by the grace of God. I am here to say to you, dare to move forward. Dare to take the step.

Check Scripture – from Genesis to Revelations, you will discover that every time a move of God is about to start, it is always preceded by a sound [like a clarion call]. For example, in the beginning the earth was without form and void, darkness was upon the face of the deep, the Spirit of the Lord moved upon the face of the deep and God said let there be light [paraphrased from Gen.1:1-3]. There must have been a loud thunderous sound and then light. Elijah said I hear the sound of the abundance of rain and rain started [1Kings 18:41]. In the New Testament, there was a sound of a mighty rushing wind and the Holy Ghost was released [Acts 2:2]. God is giving you the sound now – dare to move forward! Attack!

Prayer: Father, thank You for sending Your voice ahead of me and giving me victory. I dare to move forward in my life, my business, my marriage and family, in Jesus Name.
