Be On The Offensive

“One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:1 & 8

In Luke 18, Jesus tells us the story of the persistent widow who went to the judge seeking justice but the judge did not pay her any attention. And this woman kept on attacking this judge until he cracked and gave her what she wanted. “I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:8. When people come across the word faith in this portion of scripture, they think it is a passive thing. But if you read the story that Jesus told about having faith, you will see that having faith is action.

Having faith is knocking on doors until the doors either open or you break it down. Jesus is saying when I come will I find people that will not take no for an answer? Will I find people that will understand the objective that God has for them and keep hammering until they get what they want? And I say to the Lord, look no further. Here we are in God’s Favourite House- we will give all it takes and we will get a breakthrough.

You need to be on the offensive in your prayers, be on the offensive in your giving, and just stay on the offensive. Do you know Pastor Ghandi? Once when he visited God’s Favourite House, he shared with us how he gave himself out of a tight place. I could relate with that because I had to do the same thing. As a Church we did the same thing when we were trusting God for our land; we gave offensively. You cannot be passive. Most people are just waiting for a miracle, someone to come along and help them out. Do not wait. God is saying to you today, attack!

Stop making excuses; stop saying there is a lion in the street. Stop saying it is so hard in Nigeria. Meanwhile in this same Nigeria, people are getting wealthy and I am not talking about the fraudsters. I know people that do not bribe anybody and their revenue for the year is amazing. If you keep looking at people that are cheating or even people that are wealthy suspiciously because you do not know how they got their money, do not deceive yourself. There are people that are wealthy and they are on the right path. Stop making excuses.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, please purge me completely of excuses and help me stay on the offensive in all that You have called me to be and do, in Jesus Name.
