Heaven-Programmed

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do” Josh.1:8

Fear often disguises itself behind the mask of care. Fearful people often excuse their fear as caution” – Andy Stanley. You know you are afraid but you keep telling yourself and others that you are taking calculated risks. How long do you think you can disguise this fear as taking calculated risks? Yesterday we talked about the corridor principle and the research that was done using the MBA students – in a class only ten percent would actually step out and become successful with what they learnt. The conclusion was that the reason the remaining ninety percent did not step out, was because of the fear of failure. But guess what? The people that stepped out were not unafraid but they stepped out in spite of fear.

The successful people also said they encountered success but not in the direction they originally set out for. It is like entering a corridor with several doors. You set out for door “x” but along the way you meet an obstacle. And as you are trying to solve the problem, another door opens to your left and to your right. You pick one and go through it and you encounter huge success. When I resigned from paid employment, what I ended up doing was very far from what I initially set out to do. But if I had not stepped out, I would not have discovered what I eventually began to do.

In modern warfare, there is something called the guided missile. Ideally when a missile is guided, it is launched from a control center with the target programmed into it. It can go round a hill, down to sea level to avoid radar, go up to avoid obstacles, until it hits its target.

In one of the books on business that I read, the authors said, “when you take your step, you must believe that “the universe” will make it happen for you”. I laughed because it is obvious that these people do not know God.

What they are saying in essence is, for everyone that steps out, something guides them until they hit their target. As a child of God, you have been programmed as a missile for your destiny. The enemy may throw curses at you but you will dodge it. They may throw obstacles at you but you will ride over them. Until you hit your heaven-programmed target, you will not stop in Jesus Name.

Prayer: Father, I believe that I am a missile launched by You and I trust that You will guide me and I will not miss my target. Empower me to stay on the offensive exploit, to grab and seize all, for You are with me, in Jesus Name.
