Death To Life I

“Son of man, these bones are the entire community of Israel. They keep saying, “Our bones are dry now, picked clean by scavengers. All hope is gone. Our nation is lost.” Eze.37:11 [Voice, emphasis added]

Many times, we find ourselves in situations that can best be described as a dry bone situation. Some of us are far gone in that spectrum as it were. The situation is dry, dead, forgotten, and scattered. On the other side is the situation that is filled with life and abundance. And everyone is somewhere on this spectrum. That situation you are faced with that you consider a challenge to you is somewhere on that spectrum. It could be that it is sick, or it is dead, or it is buried, or it has been decomposed, or it is dry, or it could be that the skeletons have been scattered everywhere and have become very dry. Regardless of where you are on the spectrum, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you are moving from death to life.

In this story, it is a very peculiar situation that Israel, God’s people, found themselves. The burial in Ezekiel 37 is what you call an open burial. In other words, they just toss the bodies in a valley; there were no six-foot graves, and there were no tombs. In other words, these people were abandoned. And many times, we feel, even in the troubles, in the deadness, in the dryness of the bones, we feel abandoned in the valley. They were abandoned in the valley and they were not only abandoned in the valley, the scriptures say that scavengers fed on them. Sometimes, it is as if the problem you have is not enough, then there will be people still trying to suck you dry. Today, God will move you from death to life, in Jesus Name. Similarly, God will move this nation, Nigeria from death to life in the name of Jesus.

In moving from death to life, it could be from physical death to physical life. This is what a lot of us are conversant with. Like in the case of Lazarus [John11], he was physically dead. For some of us, the challenge we are facing is a physical ailment and we need healing. I pray that today, everything that needs healing and is reading this devotional today, will move from physical death to physical life, in Jesus Name. I pray that because you have entered God’s presence today, God will reach out and touch even your loved ones that need healing, in Jesus Name.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I believe that because I have come into Your Presence today, I and my entire household are healed from every kind of ailment, in Jesus Name.
