Unshakable

“I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.” Isa 49:4 [emphasis added].

You need to develop a thick skin and a soft heart. Unfortunately, many of us develop a soft skin and a thick heart. And as a result, you are irritated at any small thing because our skins are so sensitive and our hearts are  hardened [unforgiveness]. God wants you to reverse it. He wants you to have a thick skin and a soft heart, quick to forgive. So what if someone says something about you? My grandmother would usually say, the person said it with his or her mouth. You need to understand that everybody is entitled to an opinion and it does not have to align with yours.

In fact, if you get ticked off too easily by criticism, it may be a pointer to pride. Ninety percent of the time, it is a pointer to pride. God has blessed people with their mouths so let them say whatever they want to say but do not let it affect you. It is their opinion and it can only affect you if you take it in. But I do not have time to take it in. People come to me with criticizing remarks they have heard other people make and I laugh.  And they are like, how are you able to handle these things, don’t you care that people are saying such horrible things about you? No, I leave it all in the Lord’s hands. I will trust God for my reward. You would even discover that some of the people you are trying to help will criticize you, but leave it all in God’s hands. God sees, God knows, God rewards! So do not worry yourself. It is called dancing to the audience of One.

And there are some of you that have done the right thing in your relationship, in your place of work, and in your businesses. But nothing has turned around yet. You have refused to compromise but nothing is happening yet. What you should do is trust God for your future. It is a hard place to be and again I know exactly how it feels. I have had to say no to many things. I have had to walk away from things that at the time, seemed like the church would not survive. But we trusted God and did He not come through? He did and He was on time. In fact, stress is a test of your trust. Why should you be stressed? Where is your trust? My trust is in the Lord who made the heavens and the earth and you can trust Him too.

Prayer: Father, in Jesus Name, I declare that I will trust in God and God alone, all the days of my life and I will teach my house hold to trust in the Lord God, in Jesus Name.
